    Marketing Branding and Communication Specialist

    Job Requirements
    The requirements and responsibilities for this position are:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification coupled with experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related field. Experience in an educational environment would be a distinct advantage.
    • Proven expertise in public relations, media liaison, and managing campaigns across major social media platforms.
    • Track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
    • Significant experience in drafting press releases, news articles and other forms of internal or external communication with the ability to write in a variety of styles to appeal to different audiences.
    • Excellent command of English (verbal and written); and meticulous attention to editing and formatting detail.
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team as well as independently; the ability to work under pressure with a variety of people and school stakeholders.
    • Experience in and demonstrated ability to project manage event timelines, plan, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines.
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours (including weekends, holidays and evenings).
    • Excellent communication skills, with a specific focus on written communication.
    • High level computer skills, knowledge of desktop publishing, and website function and design would be a distinct advantage.
    • Conduct research, make site visits, and find resources to help staff make decisions about event possibilities, marketing of the school and fundraising opportunities.
    • Budgeting and finance management for events.
    • Manage and plan the termly school calendars, coordinate the compiling of the annual school magazine, attend campus calendar & communications meetings and all related admin.
    • A willingness to work within the Church-based/Christian ethos of the College as well as to participate in the broader life of the school.

    Programme Coordinator: Initial Teacher Intern Trainning-Waterberg District

    Job Requirements
    The requirements for this challenging position include:

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferably in the education field with a suitable professional qualification
    • Previous involvement in schools or educational community engagement programmes
    • Experience in educational leadership, assessment and moderation, monitoring and evaluation
    • A sound and progressive understanding of the South African education context
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing
    • Exceptional planning and organising skills with attention to detail regarding day-to-day operational running of the programme
    • Passion for the development of the teaching profession
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders within the Waterberg District
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and work independently
    • Experience in project management
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality
    • Flexibility to work outside of normal office hours including Saturdays
    • A willingness to work within the values, Christian ethos and mission of the College
    • Any staff member working within a school is required to have a sexual offender’s clearance certificate.
    • Registration with SACE

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Implementation and monitoring of the Initial Teacher Intern Training Programme within the Waterberg District
    • Regular liaison with the relevant staff and schools to ensure effective implementation of the programmes
    • Assist Thandulwazi in overseeing the organic growth of the programme.
    • Overseeing the professional aspects of the programme: ensuring that the standards of academic excellence and training are upheld
    • Working with Thandulwazi to ensure accurate reporting and monitoring of the programme
    • Willingness to gain knowledge in new educational programmes and applications for possible implication to enhance the programm e (open to learn new skills, growing and developing the programme)
    • Monitoring and evaluation including visits to community partner schools
