    Auditor: Compliance (Customs) Level 1

    Job Purpose

    • To conduct standard audits or verification on a risk profile basis to ensure compliance.

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

    • National Diploma in Auditing/Finance field and 2-3 years' experience in Auditing environment, of which 1-2 years ideally at knowledge worker level field

    OR

    • Senior Certificate (NQF 4) and 5 years’ experience in Auditing environment, of which 1-2 years ideally at knowledge worker level field

    Job Outputs:

    Process

    • Be informed on related acts, legislation and regulations that might impact on own work.
    • Be observant and engage on possible violations of regulation, policies, SOPs and standards of conduct and escalate where necessary.
    • Conduct standard (limited scope) audits to ensure compliance with the relevant acts.
    • Plan and organise own work tasks within are of work.
    • Prepare and present submissions to interest and penaly committee.
    • Take accountability for delivery of contracted work outputs within agreed parameters, quality standards and client service targets.

    Operational Specialist: Data Analytics X2

    Job Purpose

    • To plan and execute the development of data driven solutions through understanding of business requirements and be responsible for data extraction, analysis and reporting within the organisation, including fulfilling the functions of advanced analytics.

     

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

    • Relevant Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in Statistics/Mathematical Sciences, Computer Sciences/ Information Technology/Data Science  AND 5-7 years' experience in a data analytics/data science environment, of which 2-3 years ideally at functional specialist level

    OR

    • Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 10 years’ experience in a data analytics/data science environment, of which 2-3 years ideally at functional specialist level

    • To assist in the filtering and “cleaning” of imported data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.

    Specialist: Audit (Specialized Audit)

    Job Purpose

    • The purpose of this role is to provide advice and guidance in the execution of audits and independently plan and conduct highly complex audits across multiple tax types, multiple periods with multiple risks, understanding the risk implications across other tax types, in compliance with all legislative requirements.

     

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

    • Relevant Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) AND 8-10 years' Audit experience, of which 3-4 years ideally at operational specialist level                                                                                                  

       ALTERNATIVELY

    • Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 15 years Audit experience

    • Analyse and make recommendations about improvements to specialist systems, procedures and associated area's practice.

    • Timely completion of audits and disputes aligned to the SARS service charter
    • Assist in the debt collection by providing information to ensure efficient and effective collection of all cases in which additional audit assessments were raised
    • Develop productive relationships with team members and stakeholders to drive collective performance
    • Provide technical guidance and training to other team members
    • Identify initiatives to impact on compliance levels and refer to Case selection
    • Identify changes required to legislation to close loopholes
    • Appears as a specialist witness in court and attend to court proceedings as and when required.
    • Provide end-to-end query resolution advice on complex audits conducted by the team.
    • Conduct research into local & international practices & trends in order to identify best practice & the most practical business solutions & options.
