The University of Venda is a South African comprehensive rural-based institution, located in Thohoyandou in Limpopo province. It was established in 1982 under the then Republic of Venda government.
PHD/Doctoral Degree in Biokinetics or Human Movement Science or related programme, a professional BSc Degree in Biokinetics coupled with at least five (5) years teaching experience in a tertiary institution or seven (7) years professional experience.
The successful candidate must also provide evidence of at least five (5) publications in accredited, peer reviewed journals / book publications / chapters in a book.
Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Biokinetics Practitioner is compulsory.
DUTIES
The successful candidate will accept responsibility for teaching undergraduate students in Biokinetics and will be expected to actively participate in research projects and students’ clinical practice.
The incumbent will participate in curriculum development, and management of students’ records and will provide academic guidance to the students.
Relevant Honours degree in Law or four years’ professional qualification in Law (LLB degree, BJuris/BPrcc or equivalent qualification) and five (5) years legal experience in a legal practice and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Higher Education.
DUTIES
To provide a comprehensive legal consultation and advice service on all legal aspects affecting Univen.
Minimise all aspects of risk emanating from legal processes including ligation for or against the University.
