    HR Practitioner

    Overview:

    • We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Human Resources Practitioner to join our organisation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in human resources practices, policies, and procedures. They will be responsible for handling all aspects of the HR function, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, employee relations, performance management, payroll administration, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

    Responsibilities:

    Recruitment and Selection:

    •  Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies and procedures to attract and retain top talent.
    •  Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and selection process, ensuring a fair, consistent, and efficient hiring process. 
    •  Conduct interviews, assess candidates' qualifications, and make recommendations to management on suitable candidates.

    Employee Relations:

    •  Promote positive employee relations by providing guidance and support to employees and managers on all HR-related matters.
    •  Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a fair and objective manner.
    •  Interpret and apply company policies, procedures, and employment laws to ensure compliance and fairness.

    Performance Management:

    •  Develop and administer performance management programs, including performance appraisal systems, goal setting, and employee development plans.
    •  Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
    •  Support the implementation of performance improvement plans and monitor progress.

    Payroll and Benefits Administration:

    •  Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with relevant laws and company policies.
    •  Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
    •  Maintain accurate HR records and ensure all documentation is filed and maintained appropriately.

    Compliance and Legal:

    •  Stay up to date with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with employment standards and labor laws.
    •  Maintain knowledge and understanding of HR best practices and industry trends.
    •  Provide guidance and support in the interpretation and implementation of HR policies and procedures.

    Role Requirements
    Education and Experience:

    •  Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    •  Proven experience as an HR Practitioner or HR Generalist, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
    •  In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment legislation.

    Skills and Competencies:

    •  Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    •  Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
    •  Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels within the organisation.
    •  Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Proficient in HRIS and payroll systems.

    Inventory Controller Team Leader

    Role Description

    • As an Inventory Controller Team Leader, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the inventory control activities of the organisation. You will lead a team of inventory controllers, ensuring efficient and accurate management of inventory purchase orders, tracking, and reporting. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments, optimising inventory processes, and maintaining inventory accuracy to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities:

    Team Leadership: 

    • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of inventory controllers. 
    • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance  evaluations.
    • Foster a productive team environment.

    Inventory Management: 

    • Maintain and roll out of inventory control procedures, policies, and best practices.
    • Monitor and manage inventory accuracy through regular checks, audits, and reconciliations. Analyse inventory data to identify effectiveness and progress throughout the month.

    Coordination and Communication: 

    • Collaborate with branches on purchase order process and lead time to ensure seamless inventory flow.
    • Maintain communication process between controllers and branches to ensure all company procedures and rules are followed.
    • Maintain and manage branch allocations to controllers, should there be a shortage of controllers. 

    Process Optimisation: 

    • Maintain and implement measures to prevent open orders from blocking invoices.
    • Manage after-sales orders blocking admin to credit transactions.
    • Identify and address bottlenecks, streamline workflows, and raise suggestions on automation where applicable.

    Reporting and Analysis: 

    • Maintain and update the completed purchase order statistics.
    • Oversee and analyse the data for controllers’ effectiveness.
    • Maintain, update, and analyse open purchase order data. Ensure that open purchase orders are closed by the controller responsible.
    • Provide insights to management regarding inventory Controllers performance and recommend strategies for improvement. 

    Compliance and Documentation: 

    • Manage documentation uploads according to company rules. Confirm and spot check controller uploads.
    • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, and other relevant documentation.

    Training and Development: 

    • Provide training to team members on inventory control processes, software, and tools.
    • Stay updated on company trends and advancements.

    Role Requirements

    • Minimum requirement: Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
    • 3–5 years’ experience in the same or a similar role.
    • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
    • Proven experience working with inventory management systems
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Leadership experience
    • Good communication skills
    • Time management and planning skills
    • Ability to work effectively under pressure
