Position Overview: 

As part of our Production Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of engineering solutions for complex projects. Your responsibilities will include:

• Project Management: Identify business opportunities, liaise with clients, and assist in defining project requirements.
• Procurement & Coordination: Source materials, negotiate with suppliers, and coordinate subcontracted work.
• Planning & Execution: Oversee project preparation, fabrication, logistics, and site installations.
• Project Monitoring & Closure: Track progress, ensure timely delivery, and handle final inspections and documentation.
• Client Relations: Attend meetings, address client concerns, and maintain communication.
• QHSE Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Profile

• Educational background: B.Eng Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineering degree
• Years of experience: 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Industry knowledge: Experience working in fabrication/marine/oil and gas sector will be advantageous.

Job Purpose

• The Junior Cost Accountant will manage real-time project costings, support financial analysis and reporting, assist with daily accounting tasks, and oversee finance for both South Africa and Namibia entities.

Summary of main responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate project costings, collaborate with finance, production, HR, and admin teams, assist with invoicing, reporting, reconciliations, payments, and support month-end close and financial analysis tasks.

Profile

Minimum Requirements

• BCom Management Accounting degree / BCom Financial Accounting degree / Diploma in Cost Accounting
• 1 year of experience as a Cost Accountant / Accountant
• Experience as a Cost Accountant will be advantageous, or working as a Financial Accountant in a manufacturing environment
