Job Description

Main Purpose of Job:

• Advise on innovative ways that the Performance Management process and insight delivery effectiveness can be implemented and delivered, leveraging Finance in a Digital World. This includes Core modernization with cloud, process robotics and visualization. 
• Exponential solutions including advanced analytics, cognitive computing, in-memory computing and blockchain.

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Understand F&P market trends considering sub-offerings being finance transformation, digital finance transformation, operational finance & business finance (note that not all will be required). Specialisation in particular areas is a requirement
• Ability to strategically and practically bring finance advisory and technology enablement together to solve real client problems

Specialised Capability:

• Finance Transformation & Digital Finance Transformation : Advise and implement strategic choices to help improve the finance function. This includes supporting new businesses models and capabilities, and the identification of opportunities to transform the finance organization leveraging digital technologies.
• Operational finance experience:  Advise and implement on solutions to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of finance operations such as Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, and Close Consolidate and Report. Understand and advise how robotics can be used to automate transaction processing, data manipulation and communication across the finance function.
• Business finance:  Advise on improving finance business partnering & process transformation. Advise and implement FP&A, advanced finance analytics, enterprise performance management, costing & profitability, and advanced statistical forecasting through associated technologies and asset-based solutions.

• Workday Adaptive Planning / Adaptive Insights
• Blackline
• OneStream
• SAP EPM solutions
• Oracle EPM

Qualifications

• Relevant Bachelors and Advanced Degree, or
• CA (SA)

• As a Senior Consultant Data & Responsible Insight you add value to businesses by developing data-driven solutions and generating responsible insights through next-generation analytics, realizing a client's next best action by creating insights and foresights.
• You also challenge multifaceted data programs for our clients to drive the transformation towards being a data driven company.
• With your experience in the data domain, you are a solid sparring partner on the data challenges faced, both from a business as well as a technical perspective.

How you will make an Impact

• Drafting plans to solve clients’ challenges by defining a data approach
• Perform technical analyses on large data sets
• Generate 'smart' insights the customer can use
• Report on projects to the customer and keep colleagues and Project Managers informed

Qualifications

• For the role of Senior Consultant Data & Responsible Insight, you possess:

Minimum Qualification

• A quantitatively-oriented higher vocational or university education, such as Econometrics, Informatics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or Environmental Economics

Experience & Skills

• A minimum of 1-2 years of relevant working experience, preferably in an advisory / consultancy role or you have a background in data / data analytics in a large organization
• An affinity for ETL processes and programming in SQL and/or Python
• Knowledge that covers an appropriate mix of analytical, IT and financial data
• Attributes such as analytical, independent and critical 
• An excellent command of written and spoken English
