    Diesel Mechanic

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Qualified Diesel Mechanic (with trade certificate).
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience post-qualification.
    • Prior hands-on experience working on UD trucks is essential.
    • Sound knowledge of construction equipment and workshop procedures.
    • Strong commitment to safety and operational efficiency.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Perform diagnostics, servicing and repairs specifically on UD trucks as part of the fleet.
    • Perform mechanical repairs and overhauls on construction and earth-moving equipment.
    • Diagnose faults and conduct machine and component testing.
    • Service equipment and conduct oil sampling.
    • Complete job cards, time sheets, and requisitions for parts.
    • Conduct minor welding and ensure roadworthiness of trucks and machines.
    • Attend to breakdowns and perform site repairs as needed.
    • Promote and enforce safe working practices and use of protective equipment.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • Supervise and mentor assistants and learners.

    Installation Electrician

    Minimum Requirements

    • Qualified Installation Electrician (with trade certificate).
    • Wireman’s License.
    • Minimum of 3 years’ post-trade experience in construction, plant, or industrial environments.
    • Sound knowledge of SANS electrical codes and regulations.
    • Capable of working independently and issuing CoCs.
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Strong safety orientation and attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Install and maintain electrical wiring, distribution boards, plug points and lighting systems in compliance with SANS regulations.
    • Fault-find and repair fixed electrical systems at workshops, depots and site accommodation units.
    • Conduct planned preventative maintenance and inspections of electrical installations.
    • Perform electrical upgrades and ensure safe integration with generators, backup systems and temporary site setups.
    • Supervise assistants or apprentices, ensuring quality of work and safety adherence.
    • Monitor and report on electrical faults, maintenance needs and material requirements.
    • Comply with all company and legislative SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.

    Added advantage:

    • Registered with DOL as an Electrical Contractor.

    Site Laboratory Manager

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum of Grade 12 qualification.
    • E class drivers license. (LDV/Car)
    • 5 years of civil laboratory experience 2 of which was in a management role.  
    • Proficiency in materials testing methods for soil, aggregates and concrete.
    • Able to teach others and maintain quality standards.
    • Competent at computer work such as MS Outlook, Excel (Intermediate level).
    • Comprehensive understanding of specifications like COTO, COLTO, SABS etc.
    • Ability to manage people and equipment.
    • Willingness to work away from home.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all laboratory activities are conducted safely and with due regard of the environment.
    • Manage the sampling and testing processes to ensure quality outputs.
    • Manage the laboratory environment and testing equipment. (Calibration and checking).
    • Train and deem competent laboratory staff.
    • Manage laboratory staff and ensure discipline.
    • Interact with the client to comply with their requirements.
    • Manage the administrative and record keeping processes.
    • Analyse, interpret testing data.
    • Prepare, approve and submit on time test reports.
    • Provide technical assistance to the client where required.

    Added advantage:

    • Applicable Diploma, qualification in Civil Engineering or materials.
