    Projects Manager

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Manage budget establishment and submission based on projects that are scoped and costed according to the User Requirement Specification and as set out by the customer (Budget accuracy).
    • The Project Manager is to ensure that all projects assigned follow the Capital Stage Gate process at Rand Refinery from concept, initiation, feasibility, final design, execution, hand over to the customer for beneficial occupation of the asset, and finally, project close-out.
    • Manages contractors and other impacted parties, under direction of the Engineering Manager, with the specific objective to provide a safe, optimal, timely and efficient solution.
    • Ensure that the technical solutions provided enable targeted plant efficiency and productivity.
    • Provide technical solutions considering various maintenance requirements that facilitate effective repairs and maintenance.
    • Continuous improvement of systems and processes by identifying and suggesting alternative solutions that increase throughput, reduce utility consumption, and reduce the maintenance effort.
    • Responsible for SHEQ management by ensuring that equipment, machinery, people and products are protected from risk and harm. This includes identifying and addressing hazards promptly, conducting risk assessments for all solutions provided.
    • Effectively manage the contractors in line with SHEQ standards and processes for Rand Refinery site.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have National Diploma in Engineering.
    • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the in a formal Project Management role.
    • Project Management Professional certifications or other Advanced Management Certifications would be advantageous

    Supervisor: Evaluation

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO

    • Ensure accurate receiving, capturing, and allocation of material.
    • Maintain accuracy and precision in weighing, sampling, and sample preparation processes.
    • Implement and monitor sampling protocols aligned to business requirements.
    • Conduct stock evaluation and metal balance control activities.
    • Perform technical investigations and reporting.
    • Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure compliance with SHEQ, quality, and safety standard.
    • Address non-conformances and support audit processes.
    • Review and optimise sampling technologies and systems.
    • Generate and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
    • Ensure timeous submission of operational reports.
    • Perform SAP and physical reconciliations of material.
    • Train, coach, and mentor sampling personnel.
    • Communicate with internal stakeholders and external customers regularly.
    • Coordinate with supervisors, teams, and external consultants.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • A completed Matric qualification.
    • A Tertiary qualification (Degree or B-Tech Diploma) in Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
    • Minimum 3–5 years’ relevant working experience.

    Artisan Millwright

    SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Execute electrical and mechanical planned maintenance within specified time at a high quality and give feedback to the respective foreman to improve plant   availability and reliability.
    • Promptly attend to any electrical, mechanical and/or related process control system breakdowns and callouts when required.
    • Ensuring that all unsafe conditions are repaired timeously or to report to prevent any incidents or accidents.
    • Increase equipment performance and minimize production downtime from unplanned equipment stoppages. 
    • Adhere to and comply with all relevant SHEQ polices, rules and standards.
    • Participate in Risk Assessments based on external and internal influences.
    • Maintain a high quality of housekeeping.
    • Ensure that to adhere to with the company’s code of conduct.
    • Attend statutory training as may be required.
    • Assists in cost reduction initiatives by reducing waste and improving efficiencies.
    • The incumbent will be required to work rotational shifts with other Artisans Millwright to cover the Smelter business unit.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Completed Matric qualification.
    • N3 or equivalent in Electro-Mechanical is required, preference will be given to candidates with qualifications higher than N3.
    • Trade Test certificate as a Millwright.
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
    • At least 3 years experience in Medium Voltage switching.
    • Formal certifications Lifting Machinery Inspection will be advantageous.
