    General Assistant Building and Facilities Maintenance.REG BLM.

    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate for Bram Fischer International Airport will be reporting to the Supervisor Building Facilities and Maintenance, and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

    • Participate in root cause analysis.
    • Complete defined audits, monitor processes and adherence to standards.
    • Execute safe planned and unplanned maintenance activities.
    • Assist with infrastructure maintenance and routine inspections as and when required.
    • Consult and give support in commissioning and testing of assets.
    • Provide insight into studies on upgrades/replacements of assets.
    • Provide input into maintenance planning, scheduling and execution of the assets.
    • Adhere to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
    • Liaison and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient operations.
    • Provide input into all relevant reports.
    • Identify and report possible efficiency enhancements and initiatives to ensure resource savings.
    • Engage with relevant Stakeholders on report findings.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience will be required:

    • National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) is essential.

    Airside Coordinator.ORTIA

    Key Performance Output

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the Manager Airside Operations, and will be responsible but not limited to the following: 

    • Manage capacity through coordinating infrastructure maintenance and development projects to achieve a high level of infrastructure availability in a safe operating environment
    • Facilitate and regulate capacity for each process and highlight any pressure points in terms of traffic movement.
    • Provide view and make recommendations in terms of impact and availability of infrastructure across all operational areas.
    • Monitoring construction activities and the impact thereof on operational requirements, safety standards, security standards and service levels.
    • Provide and utilise available information to improve process and system efficiency.
    • Strive for continuous improvement with respect to the end-to-end process on behalf of operations.
    • Detect, proactively monitor and manage events (deviation from the norm) in collaboration with other departments and implement remedial action.
    • Coordinate test and simulate contingencies to mitigate risk on event activities.
    • Analyse events and engage for a long-term solution for continuous improvement.
    • Ensure business continuity during emergency situations 
    • Monitor and manage process and system efficiency within operations 
    • Ensure all resource allocation model are adhered to, to achieve the required service standards. 
    • Take overall responsibility for the results of ASQ and QMS surveys and define corrective action where required Analyse information to identify trends to ensure process and system efficiency.
    • Ensure compliance to relevant statutory/legislative regulations, SOP's, operational standards, policies and practices.
    • Respond to audit findings and implement appropriate action.
    • Ensure remedial actions are implemented timeously to address non-conformances.
    • Ensure effective and regular communication of new statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures to ensure full awareness amongst stakeholders.
    • Ensure quality assurance of inspections and operational reviews.
    • Support initiatives that contribute to continuous improvement of products and services.
    • Provide detailed incident reports as required in terms of ACSA policies and procedures
    • Direct and coordinate stakeholders to ensure passengers are processed efficiently.
    • Support implementation of the relevant client engagement program to meet client’s strategy and operating mode

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such will be required: 

    • Grade 12 National Senior Certificate is essential.
    • NQF Level 6 Diploma in Safety Management/Operations Management/Risk Management/Business Management or Equivalent Qualification is essential.
    • 4 Years in Airport operational experience is essential.
    • Code B driver’s license is essential.
    • Basic Ms Office Competence
