    Job Description:

    Herewith an opportunity to join a team where you will work on implementation of work-based health services (WBHS) at a site or small-to-medium size complex by providing line and clinical specialist management of Work based health services (WBHS).

    • You will have the responsibility to manage the implementation of clinical programmes and health management systems at a site or complex and assume clinical responsibilities for clinical programme and implementation, monitoring and evaluation as required
    • In addition, you will oversee the quality of services provided by third parties and health reporting for the site

    This role is based at our Rustenburg operations at a Band 6 level reporting to the Senior Occupational Medical Practitioner.

    Qualifications:

    • MBChB
    • Diploma in Occupational Medicine and Registration with Health Professionals Council of South Africa
    • Certificate training in trauma and emergency care and other areas of medicine (advantageous)

    Experience:

    • At least 5 years work experience with over 2 years’ experience in the mining industry
    • Clinical programme management experience
    • Training in health risk management; implementation of SHE management systems and incident investigation
    • Demonstrated success running of clinical programmes
    • In depth knowledge of the effects of hazards in and around the workplace which are detrimental to the health of workers, the community and the environment
    • Excellent knowledge of occupational disease management programmes
    • Track record of leading ideas generation; translating these into practical initiatives to be implemented and demonstration of successful execution and delivery within occupational health

    Job Description:

    As a Foreman Mechanical, you will support the achievement of the operation plant and ensure the reduction of costs caused by incidents. Your daily duties will include planning and coordinating daily, weekly, and monthly requirements and priorities with the operational team related to all planned and related work. As part of your role, you will liaise and communicate effectively with other foreman to ensure that any problem that could overlap with other sections are proactively identified and discussed. You will oversee that all work practices are executed in compliance with legal requirements and provide continuous feedback to the section regarding the performance efficiencies, standards of the section labour, equipment, budget and process targets.

    Other duties include:

    • Ensure availability of the fleet is managed according to mine AS&R standard
    • Analyze data provided and develop tactics to ensure effective maintenance on all fleet
    • Ensure availability for afterhours and standby duties
    • You will be required to investigate all incidents or damages in your section
    • Understand work management philosophy and apply it to all areas
    • Implement all safety requirement and ensure all safety communication and procedure are discussed with the team
    • Ensure proper management of all asset and comply to legal requirements
    • Management of budget

    This role is in the Engineering department at a C5 level reporting to the Section Engineer.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Diesel Mechanic or Auto Electrician Trade Certificate
    • Anglo American Foreman Certificate

    Experience:

    • Five years post trade qualified experience
    • Supervisory experience (advantageous)

    Additional information:

    • Computer literacy
    • SAP knowledge (advantageous)
    • Valid driver’s license - Code 08

    Engineering Planner Asset Management

    As an integral part of this team, some of your duties will include:

    • Conduct inspections of Health and Safety conditions and risks in working area, reports and corrects sub-standard item, conditions, risks and unsafe acts to his or her supervisor.
    • Work Management Accountabilities which include work orders, planning approved work, prioritize and track work as well as identify and escalate all critical issues and comply with applicable legislation, standards, policies and procedures.
    • Coordinate and administer spares for site, while supporting good housekeeping practices.
    • Cost Estimates and monitor asset management spend.
    • Reporting on a weekly and monthly basis for planned vs actual maintenance activities.

    This role is in the Engineering Department at a C5 level and reports into the Section Engineer.

    Your qualifications will include:

    • Grade 12 with Physical Science and Maths
    • Qualified artisan (Trade tested)
    • Planner Asset Management training modules, or equivalent

    In order to be successful in this role, your experience will include:

    • 3-5 years Planned Maintenance or Production Experience in Mining/Process industry with the ability to Plan maintenance or production activities
    • Advanced SAP Planned Maintenance Training Module
    • Knowledge of client disciplines – Metallurgy, Mining, Engineering
    • Computer literate in full MS office

    • Valid driving license code 08
    • If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Certification.

    SHE Manager

    Job Description:

    The role is responsible for managing, integrating, supporting implementation and coordinating the SHE policies, management plans and standards at Site level. 

    You will be responsible for the following:

    • Manage the Safety, Health, Hygiene and Environment teams at Site(s) that delivers on the SHE strategies. 
    • Apply tools and techniques to identify the key factors that contribute to risk and harm and apply audit processes and activities to analyze data in order to identify and escalate risks
    • Responsible for  general management of the Site SHE function like budget preparation, cost control, staff capability and performance assessments.  
    • Provide guidance on SHE related matters, including hazard/aspect identification, risk assessment/management and risk/impact control, with particular emphasis on the management of long-term risk. 

    Qualifications:

    • Recognised Engineering /Technical Degree (NQF Level 6) plus a formal qualification in Safety, Health or Environment combined with practical experience 
    • Registration with a South African professional (SHE) institution would be advantageous
    • Business qualification (MBA, MBL, MDP, LDP) would be advantageous

    Experience:

    • You will have atleast 5 - 8 years Safety, Health or Environmental experience at a managerial level
      Experience in mining and/or process industry
    • Experience in mining and/or process industry 
    • Project Management experience will be an advantage

    Job Summary:

    As an Integrated Scheduler you will be responsible for ensuring that the production and maintenance schedule is integrated to deliver the outcomes of the Routine Operating Schedule (ROS) in line with Operating Model principles.

    • 5 years (OM Specialist) - advantageous
