Requirements

• Grade 12 Qualification
• Diploma in computer science or engineering or related field, preferred
• A+ and N+ Certification, required
• Computer literacy
• MCSA Certified
• Comp Tia A+ Hardware
• Comp Tia A+ Software
• Comp Tia Network+
• Wireless Network systems
• Network Architecture
• Desktop Support on Microsoft Software
• Configuring Windows 8/10/11
• Configuring and Installing Windows Server
• Maintaining Windows Server
• Configuring and Maintaining Hikcentral and other Hikvision products.
• Cisco CCNET Certificate will be advantageous
•  CCNA or ACSA
• Experience troubleshooting systems
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Familiar with a range of software and hardware
• Willing to work Underground and at Heights
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Fibre Splicing knowledge
• Network maintenance and implementation knowledge
• 2 years telephone systems experience
• 2 years CCTV installation experience, preferably with Hikvision technologies

Description

• Ensure compliance with Barberton Mines Health and Safety responsibilities
• Ensure that Process activities are integrated and coordinated
• Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards and procedures of the work 
• Ensure the adherence to the specified process parameters within the respective sections 
• Effective trouble shooting in case of deviations 
• Identify, diagnose and analyse deviations and consult with the Supervisor / Management prior to implementing changes
• Provide support and advise to responsible Supervisors / Management
• Conduct research (literature or practical) on specific topics received from the Plant Manager
• Conduct test and project work in the laboratory and do physical tests in the plant and consolidate test results with past reports and other findings
• Conduct cost analysis exercises to evaluate the viability of implementing projects and make necessary recommendations for changes in the process
• Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability and budget compliance
• Ensure adherence to Client quality requirements by monitoring laboratory feedback and ensuring the implementation of corrective measures
• Continuously monitor the production process to ensure adherence to ISO and legislative standards/requirements
• Assist in compiling the Processing budget by providing information based on operational and resource requirements
• Perform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability and budget compliance

Requirements

• B Eng (Chemical, Processing or Extractive Metallurgy)
• Honours or Master’s degree will be advantageous
• Ability to perform optimisation studies and implement the results successfully
• Ability to communicate with people on different levels
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Ability to write reports/articles that can be published or reported to patent service providers
• Computer literate (Excel, Word and e-mail)
• Valid Certificate of physical fitness
• Driver’s license
