• Degree/Diploma in Auditing
• 0–1 years’ experience
• Strong attention to detail
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work under supervision and take accountability
• Computer literate (Excel, Word, email)
• Willingness to travel
• Driver’s licence advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities    
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting head office audits
• Assist with store and distribution centre (DC) audits as required
• Assist in identifying and reporting risks
• Assist in investigations as required
• Build and maintain effective internal relationships

Key Duties

• Gather and analyse audit evidence
• Compile and finalise audit working papers
• Assist in preparing audit reports for submission
• Participate in audit-related meetings with management
• Conduct store/DC visits where required
• Communicate with stores regarding audit queries and issues
• Assist in documenting risks and controls
• Keep abreast of changes in audit practices, controls and regulations

• Boxer Superstores is looking for a dynamic and driven Trainee Buyer to join our Head Office team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced retail environment while developing into a Buyer role.

Job Purpose

• The Trainee Buyer will work closely with experienced Buyers, gaining exposure to all aspects of the buying function. This includes supplier engagement, data analysis, reporting, and assisting with category planning, promotions, and stock management.  

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• 1–3 years’ relevant experience
• Strong numerical and analytical ability
• Computer literacy (MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong problem-solving ability and business acumen
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Support Buyers with supplier negotiations and relationship management
• Assist with sales analysis, budgeting, and profitability tracking
• Monitor stock levels across stores and distribution centres
• Contribute to promotions, adverts, and campaign planning
• Prepare reports, presentations, and maintain accurate master data
• Assist with product ranging, planograms, and category management
• Build strong internal and external relationships
• Support demand planning and store execution initiatives
