Job Summary:

To learn and manage delivery of Clinical performance across the Group to optimize quality care standards. The incumbent is additionally responsible for the delivery of the Clinical department’s work within time, budget and comply with specifications and quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Masters Degree in Public Health or Business Administration.
• 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Current registration with the HPCSA.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Deliver on the Clinical function’s operating plan.
• Lead and implement tactical strategies for all CHG hospitals.
• Implement, monitor and control clinical processes according to quality standards, policy, compliance and governance requirements.
• Ensure the development, alignment, mapping and implementation of standard operating procedures and processes across all CHG hospitals.
• Review and audit (on a rotational basis) existing processes (relevant to the Clinical function) to streamline processes, drive efficiencies, minimise redundancies and overall management of clinical risk.
• Provide guidance and support in terms of Clinical matters to relevant Allied and Clinical professionals across all CHG hospitals.
• Actively collaborate with relevant clinical risk functions and forums to drive Clinical and Quality measures.
• Develop and review relevant policies in collaboration with clinical leads and ensure all approved documents meet CHG, regulatory and industry standards and requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of new Clinical products and services.
• Observe hospital sites for clinical safety, ensuring all work is performed according to quality standards.
• Escalate continuous non-conformance to management (Hospital and Head Office).
• Put mitigating processes in place for retaining and corrective standards actions if any unsafe actions are identified.

Job Summary:

To establish and manage a world class Nursing Services function. This role is accountable for the planning, organising and leading of the Group Nursing Services function to ensure high quality patient care in accordance with all applicable legislation. The incumbent develops and manages the Group’s Nursing Standards, Protocols and policies and ensures the consistent adherence thereof across all CHG Hospital facilities.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Cur Degree in General Nursing.
• Post Graduate Nursing Degree.
• 5-7 years experience in Nursing Services Management.
• Experience in managing and organisations risk function.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Establish and manage the Nursing Services function across the Group.
• Develop and drive all Nursing Policies and Procedures across the Group and ensure adherence thereof through Nursing Services Managers at Hospital level.
• Ensure Group wide compliance to national legislation and Nursing Council standards regulations.
• Ensure and maintain high standards of care for all patients.
• Develop and translate the overall Group Nursing Strategy by driving Operational targets and strategic objectives and ensure cascading to Nursing Services Managers in all Hospitals.
• Ensure good governance including the effective use of management systems to monitor compliance to business direction and policies.
• Prepare and manage reporting and relevant documentation.
• Prepare appropriate Nursing reporting to management forums and Committees as required.
• Prepare documents within scope of expertise and ensure that actions decided are implemented in a timeous manner.
• Ensure ongoing and timely management of all documentation and data in the relevant areas of expertise.
• Provide consistent, high-quality advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Analyse trends, anticipate issues and ensure contingency plans are in place; proactively recommend solutions to identified risks.
• Provide advice (and where necessary draft relevant documentation) regarding CHG Standards, Policies and SOPs.
• Identify innovative ways to improve business practices, processes and synergies to increase efficiencies.
