    Human Factors Security Lead/Manager

    • Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Human Factors Security Lead/Manager who will have the responsibility to strengthen the organization’s security culture by addressing the human element of cybersecurity risk, from executives to frontline operators in both IT and OT settings. This will be a 12 month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 5 years relevant experience.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive security awareness and training program tailored to diverse roles (office staff, field technicians, control room operators).
    • Design and execute phishing simulation campaigns, social engineering tests, and other human-centric security initiatives.
    • Work closely with HR and Communications teams to integrate security best practices into company culture.
    • Conduct regular assessments of employee security behavior and engagement, using metrics to measure program effectiveness.
    • Develop incident response training exercises and tabletop sessions that incorporate human behavioral aspects.
    • Influence policy and procedure creation to ensure they are user-friendly and effective.
    • Track and report on key metrics to executive leadership, showcasing improvements in security behaviors and awareness.

    Minimum Qualifications & Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Communications, Information Security, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in a security awareness, training, or related human-focused cybersecurity role.
    • Strong understanding of social engineering tactics, human behavior, and security culture principles.
    • Experience designing and delivering training programs across large, diverse organizations (preferably including industrial or mining environments).
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., GSLC, SSAP, or other human factors/security awareness-related) are a plus.

    Data Protection Lead/Manager

    • Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Data Protection Lead/ Manager with experience in developing and overseeing data protection strategies, ensuring secure handling of sensitive information (intellectual property, personal data, operational data) throughout its lifecycle in IT and OT ecosystems. This will be a 12 month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 7 years relevant experience.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Define and implement data classification, data loss prevention (DLP), and encryption standards.
    • Work with business units to identify sensitive data flows and implement appropriate controls.
    • Oversee data privacy and compliance efforts (GDPR, local data protection regulations, IP protection requirements).
    • Collaborate with IT, OT, and legal teams to maintain data governance frameworks.
    • Lead investigations and remediation efforts for data breaches or data leakage incidents.
    • Stay current with evolving data protection regulations and industry best practices, adjusting policies as required.

    • 7+ years of experience in data protection, privacy, or related cybersecurity roles.
    • Strong knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry data protection standards.
    • Experience with DLP solutions, encryption technologies, and data governance methodologies.
    • Familiarity with OT data flows and operational data protection requirements (e.g., design/engineering data).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPT, CDPSE) are highly beneficial.

    Security Architecture and Engineering Lead/Manager

    • Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Security Architecture and Engineering Lead/Manager who will be responsible for defining, maintaining, and evolving the cybersecurity architecture across the enterprise, bridging IT and OT security requirements. Also will oversee the security engineering function to ensure robust design, deployment, and maintenance of security technologies. This will be a 12 month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 8 years relevant experience.

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Design and document the enterprise security architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Evaluate and select security solutions, including network security, endpoint protection, secure cloud architectures, and OT security controls.
    • Collaborate with the IT/OT engineering teams to integrate security requirements into systems and processes.
    • Conduct architecture reviews and threat modelling for new and existing systems (including ICS/SCADA) to identify gaps and recommend improvements.
    • Oversee security engineering projects from concept through implementation, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.

    Minimum Qualifications & Experience: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s in Cybersecurity or relevant discipline preferred).
    • 8+ years of experience in security architecture or engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management position.
    • Proven track record of designing and implementing security solutions in both IT and industrial (OT/ICS) environments.
    • Expertise in network architecture, cloud security, endpoint security, and modern security technologies.
    • Familiarity with ICS/SCADA architectures, industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, etc.), and secure design patterns for OT.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA, TOGAF) are advantageous.

    Senior Project Manager

    • Managed Talent Solutions client in the mining sector is looking for a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for delivery for Business Continuity, DR Programme & Cyber security infrastructure project. This will be an 8-month FTC with the possibility to extend. Must have at least 5 years relevant experience.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Build and manage the end-to-end project plan, and monitor/report progress.
    • Effectively manage scope and dependencies.
    • Identify risks and issues and proactively resolve/mitigate them.
    • Ensure that business outcomes are defined, approved, and delivered.
    • Communicate regularly and effectively with project stakeholders.
    • Support the Programme manager in the overall successful delivery of a Programme.
    • Coordinate and manage resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
    • Lead project meetings and set expectations.
    • Maintain budget and forecast.
    • Assessing and analyzing different options for the requirements of the project.
    • Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure.
    • Meeting stakeholders and assessing IT infrastructure needs.

    Experience and knowledge:

    • Understanding of servers, storage systems, networks, and cloud services, as these are often part of redundancy and recovery setups
    • Familiarity with security concepts
    • Awareness of common cybersecurity tools and technologies
    • Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business
    • Highly proficient in Project Management principles, methods, techniques and tools
    • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the project

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
    • Five to six years of experience in Project Management activities

    Senior Backup Engineer (Veeam/Rubrik Backup)

    • Datacentrix is looking for a Senior Backup Engineer with experience in administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring Rubrik and Veeam backup. The Backup Engineer will be required to ensure robust 24/7 backup and recovery support, detect ransomware and system anomalies using Rubrik Radar and Veeam ONE, optimize system performance, resolve issues, and conduct post-mortem analyses, review and enhance architecture, including performing upgrades and migrations

    Qualification and Experience Required:

    • IT Diploma/Degree
    • ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred
    • Veeam or Rubrik Backup certification
    • 3-6 years experience in the backup environment using Rubrik and Veeam
    • 3+ years hands-on experience designing, deploying, and maintaining large backup and restore environments.
    • Strong knowledge and experience with backup and restore principles and design.
    • Knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft operating systems as it pertains to backups and restores.
    • Knowledge of SAN based backups and restores

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for implementing backup policies at a customer.
    • Create business recovery plans, developing data backup processes, solving technical issues.
    • Provide 1st and 2nd level problem management and resolution for the backup of hundreds of servers using multiple backup utilities, the tape libraries and drives.
    • Maintain guides and procedural documentation.
    • Provide On-Call support for backup job failures, user restore needs, and tape, tape drive and tape vaulting issues.
    • Coordinate with the SAN Team to test and implement new backup requests.
    • Responsible for schedule/workload balancing, management of media, including the tape vaulting process and media management related activities.
    • Participate in projects for new software/hardware implementation.
    • Develop and execute new processes and procedures relating to the backup utilities.
    • Develop and administer Computer Operator training and training documentation relating to the operational functions of backup utilities

    Functional Support:

    • Perform daily backup and restore administration, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring functions.
    • Perform upgrades and migrations for backup and restore hardware and software.
    • Troubleshoot issues with regards to backup and restore environments.
    • Perform additional backup and restore related duties as required.
    • Proactively address performance issues as it relates to the backup solution and its associated components.
    • Provide resolution of issues and provide post-mortem review and analysis.
    • Configuration review of existing architectures and designs
    • Provide solution to any complex IT related challenges in the organization.
    • Creating comprehensive technical documents
    • Monitor backups and restore status in reference to performance as well as usage and trends analysis.

    Project Manager:

    • Work on critical backup and restore related projects
    • Plan, design, and implement networked systems, including configurations; support/troubleshoot network problems; coordinate with vendors for installation of such items as Servers, Operating systems, application; projects implementation; providing training and assisting with project
    • Evaluate and Improve:
    • Have interaction and communication with differing levels of management including meetings, presentations, and authoring detailed technical documentation
    • Help evaluate new products and provide system engineering recommendations based on analysis.
    • Perform regular IT audit to discover areas of weaknesses and fortify them.
    • Reporting & Continuous Improvement:
    • Keep up with trends in the constantly evolving information technology industry.
    • Remain knowledgeable of current technology and carry out research to identify new trends that can be used to achieve maximum results
    • Identifying work opportunities and preparing or assisting with the preparation of technical proposals as required.
