    Shift Mechanical Fitter - Springs

    SUMMARY

    Our client, a global FMCG manufacturer, is on the lookout for a Shift Fitter in their Fiber Plant, who is seeking a great opportunity with a fantastic organisation. As the Shift Fitter for this prestigious organisation, you will form an integral part of the Engineering Maintenance team. 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
    • Dismantles machines, equipment and devices to access, remove and repair or replace defective parts.
    • Reassemble equipment and machines, after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
    • Performs routine maintenance such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and doing other preventive maintenance actions.
    • Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogues, as necessary.
    • Check all completed works and verify that the repaired equipment is operational and ready to use.
    • Prepares reports and provides the Supervisor with the required records and paperwork of all completed jobs.
    • Monitors the progress of planned maintenance programs or repair works assigned and strictly adheres to them.
    • Ensures compliance in accordance with Company policies and procedures, Health and Safety standards and housekeeping standards.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Red seal Certificate as Mechanical Fitter with N4 -N6
    • A minimum of 5 years’ post-trade experience within an FMCG environment. 10 years’ experience will be an advantage.
    • Sound knowledge of mechanical machinery operation and maintenance.
    • Sound knowledge of transformers, vacuum pumps, rotors and ovens.
    • Ability to analyse faults, strips and re-assemble machines without supervision

    Frames Welding Engineer

    SUMMARY

    Our client, a global manufacturer, is on the lookout for a Welding Engineer, who is seeking a great opportunity with a fantastic organisation. As the Welding Engineer in the Frames Section for this prestigious organisation, you will form an integral part of the manufacturing team, reporting to the Maintenance Engineering Manager. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Establish and maintain welding process and quality parameters, according to customer specifications for MIG (GMAW) and resistance welding operations – manual & automatic welding equipment.
    • Create reaction plans to correct in-process welds that are out of Specification.
    • Establish procedures, processes and testing equipment for destructive and non-destructive testing on resistance & MIG welding applications. Including cut & etch (macro etch), Peel and tensile tests with the assistance of the Quality Department.
    • Work with Design and Manufacturing Engineering and Prototype Departments, to fine-tune designs, material selection, documentation, fixtures, gauges, and process control, to optimize product manufacturability. Work with Design and Manufacturing Engineering to develop welding systems and fixtures and participate in Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA’s).
    • Study current welding processes for cost reduction and process improvement, and maintain performance on weld cells (touch-up & troubleshooting, improvements).
    • Train and aid in the skills development of the welding and local quality team.
    • Assist in the qualification of weld cells and processes.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma or degree: Mechanical/Welding Engineering.
    • 3-4 Years of Part/Product Assembly Experience.
    • Weld parameter setup.
    • Destructive testing and weld quality verification

    Land Acquisition Manager

    SUMMARY

    We’re currently in search of a dedicated Land Acquisition Manager. In this pivotal role, you’ll be entrusted with the responsibility of acquiring land leases and acquisitions for our renowned Solar PV Company, ensuring the projects progress smoothly from the environmental approval phase to development readiness.

     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Proactively identify optimum locations for future solar projects in collaboration with the Country Manager and Business Development Manager.
    • Build and maintain a comprehensive land “market” database in RSA, tracking competitor activities and Environmental Authorisation applications.
    • Secure land leases compliant with solar development standards.
    • Understand Eskom Grid availability, biodiversity impacts, and EPC pricing implications.
    • Familiarize yourself with legal requirements surrounding land leases, permitting laws, and municipal mandates.
    • Engage professionally with local landowners, community stakeholders, permitting agencies, and more.
    • Provide monthly updates to the Country Manager on land acquisition progress, schedules, and development readiness.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Extensive knowledge of the Renewable Energy industry.
    • Proven record in negotiating land access, leases, or sales agreements.
    • Acquaintance with Renewable Energy project land costing methodologies.
    • Ability to foster positive working relationships.
    • Proficient communication in both English and Afrikaans.
    • Strong organisational and problem-solving capabilities.

    Systems Engineer

    SUMMARY

    The System Solution Engineer takes responsibility for conducting research on the residential PV market and providing solutions for energy storage systems. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conduct market research of station/photovoltaic/energy storage industry, and competitors, customers, products, etc.;
    • Collect information and conduct research on the application of residential PV storage systems, and customer needs for system solution
    • Build household panoramic system solutions according to customer needs
    • Take responsibility for system solution documentation; derive product requirements and support identifying and planning products through system solutions
    • Familiar with photovoltaic + energy storage system design, material selection, electrical primary, electrical secondary, grid-connected access design
    • Assist new product launches, sample cases, online and offline publicity and other activities
    • Assist overseas pre-sales technical support to provide customers with competitive products and solutions
    • Daily enabling work, including sales, customer or partner technical training preparation and assistance, and technical communication with the headquarters R&D team.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor or Master’s degree in Engineering, EE, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
    • 5 or more years experience as a System Engineer in the solar energy industry, and residential energy related experience is a plus
    •  Technical knowledge and skills in PV and Electrical
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    QC Engineer

    SUMMARY

    The QC Engineer takes responsibility for monitoring and testing products to end compliance with quality standards, identify issues and recommend solutions

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for setting up and updating testing standards and policies of PV and storage products materials, and conducting specific testing
    • Responsible for conducting inspection of PV and storage products including packaging, appearance and functional test
    • Prepare and fill in reports according to the inspection results, be familiar with the storage process software, and cooperate with the operation of the quality inspection process of inbound and outbound PV and energy storage product
    • Track the use of PV and energy storage products, deal with the quality problems of customer feedback, and improve quality control according to customer feedback.
    • Knowledge of Industrial and Specialty gases (advantageous);
    • Proven track record in negotiating at high levels and building strong customer relationships;
    • Responsible for complaint processing and statistics analysis of PV and energy storage products

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
    • 5 or more years of experience in quality control or quality management, experience in the renewable energy industry is a plus
    • In-depth understanding of technical documentation and testing methodology
    • familiar with statistical analysis
    • Certification in quality assurance is highly preferred
