Job Description:

• The Category Specialist coordinates and integrates the effective management of the supply of strategic commodities as well as site related services to the De Beers Group of Companies (GoC) in order to ensure maximum benefit and value and operational compliance in line with the organisation’s strategic needs and minimise risk to the business.

Some of the key tasks include:

• Negotiating and managing strategic commodity and service contracts - including amendments, price adjustments, verifying price increases and general contract administration.
• Benchmarking and/or tendering pricing, service offerings  and commodity performance of strategic commodities against industry peers.
• Capturing market data, analysing and creating market summaries that will contribute towards the effectiveness of sourcing strategies.
• Model benefits for value delivery initiatives.
• Creating and driving collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the attainment of benefits to the GoC.
• Preparing, managing and attending Tender Board meetings and make recommendations to achieve the department’s key objectives.
• Developing and implementing sub-category sourcing strategies in line with De Beers business requirements (eg value delivery, supplier rationalisation, local procurement, supplier development).

Qualifications:
Education required

• A Commercial/Engineering degree

Knowledge & Experience required

• Experience in a Facilities Management and / or Professional Services portfolio would be advantageous 
• Experience in savings initiatives​​​​​​
• Utilization of a formal methodology/process for sourcing activity will be an advantage.
• Experience in the leadership and management of people is required
• It is advantageous to have experience in a range of different commodities 
• Relationship building skills

Job Description:

• The Contract Specialist provides sourcing and contractual support on negotiable operational spend to the Category Manager. This role is a Supply Chain role and provides strategic sourcing capability across the De Beers GoC – directly supporting the wholly managed business units and indirectly supporting the joint ventures.
• The purpose of the Contract Specialist is to support the management of the supply of strategic commodities and strategic services to the De Beers Group of Companies (GoC), in order to ensure maximum benefit and value and operational compliance, in line with the organisation’s strategic needs ensuring minimised risk to the business.

Qualifications:

• Matric/ Grade 12 Mathematics
• Current studies towards a commercial/purchasing qualification is critical

• 1 year experience in a general administrative environment
• Exposure to Supply Chain or a commercial environment

Job Description:
The Professional Nurse provides comprehensive nursing Health care that is quality driven. This role is also responsible for providing administrative support to both internal and external clients thus promoting Health and Safety of employees.

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide Occupational Health Services including medical examinations and medical tests. Replenish first aid boxes and conduct Health inspections.
• Provide Primary Health Care services including Health promotion, referral to and liaison with related Health Services; management of minor injuries; monitor all Health threatening conditions and manage emergencies.
• Provide accurate and effective administration including maintenance of stock, record keeping, liaising with related departments and ensuring the Hygiene of service premises.
• Provide effective patient/client liaison through effective communication and feedback, query resolution and dealing with internal and external clients.

• Specific medical/occupational hygiene qualifications to be included.
