    Process Technician

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Maintain, repair & optimise plant, general facilities & associated devices
    • Upkeep of plant, equipment, spares & relevant documentation / systems
    • Plan, budget and prepare the job
    • Perform maintenance
    • Optimise plant, process/general equipment and systems

    Provide specialist technical support & enhance machine, equipment, system & process capability        

    • Monitor performance
    • Optimise usage of resources
    • Resolve & eliminate problems

    Develop preventative maintenance techniques

    • Perform Root Cause analysis of failures and derive and implement preventative measures to avoid  recurrence
    • Participate in team development of preventative measures to avoid unexpected failures

    Manage compliance to Quality Management Systems

    • Ensure adherence to all initiatives aimed at minimising impact of technical interventions on product quality

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum N3 with trade. Trades in team balanced between Millwright, Electrician, Instrumentation Mechanician, Fitter and Turner. N6 with trade preferred.
    • Minimum three years practical experience in the Engineering maintenance field, ideally within pharmaceutical manufacturing
    • Fundamental understanding of functionality of equipment, in the context of the manufacturing process, for area of responsibility
    • Knowledge of industry best practice preventative maintenance techniques

    SVP Cleanroom Cleaner

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Cleaning of Gowning 1 and Gowning 2 of the SVP-NH filling rooms
    • Cleaning of the Biovac area
    • Identify and report any problems / defects in the area
    • Replenishing of consumables
    • Transfer of Vails and packaging of ampoules
    • Completion of relevant sections of the batch book
    • Completion of logbooks
    • Complies with all process GMP’s and Standard Operation Procedures in all areas
    • Adherence to safety, health, and environment regulations as well as ensuring the availability and adherence to PPE requirements. Proactively act to prevent any possible safety incidents in area of responsibility.

    Labeller Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow instructions given by team leader/process leader.
    • Perform shift handover discussion to discuss batch or machine specific matters with operator from previous shift.
    • Verify machine consumables meet specific batch requirements and are acceptable to run through machine. Immediately report any anomalies noticed to process leader.
    • Examine machinery at the beginning of each shift to ensure it is in good working order.
    • Perform change overs to different products and formats.
    • Perform setup of machine for particular product and format.
    • Ensure cleaning standards as per operating procedures are maintained.
    • Operate machine and make required adjustments to meet quality requirements.
    • Continuously monitor operation and perform in-process checks on produced units; adjust if required.
    • Ensure daily target is met
    • Record down time on sheet
    • Ensure all procedures are properly followed and that all required documentation is complete and accurate.
    • Assist in reconciling in-process and finished product packaging and batch recording procedures.
    • Problem solve by performing root cause analysis for normal machine/operational malfunctions and correct.
    • Immediately report and engage with technician on advanced mechanical, electrical or automation failures. Participate in correction.
    • Perform basic reactive and scheduled maintenance on equipment and participate in monthly and annual Maintenance Shutdowns. Identify and correct shortcomings in preventative maintenance program resulting in unexpected failures through engagement with Technicians and other maintenance personnel.
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • From time to time perform other roles within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum Grade 12.
    • Computer literate.
    • N2 with certification.
    • 2-3 years experience in a production environment, preferably Pharmaceutical / FMCG.

    Case Packer and Palletiser Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follow instructions given by team leader/process leader.

    • Responsible for packing cartons into shippers, closing of shippers, and palletizing.
    • Verify machine consumables/components meet specific batch requirements and are acceptable to run through machine. Immediately report any anomalies noticed to process leader.

    • Perform change overs to different products and formats.
    • Perform setup of machine for particular product and format.

    Mixing Operator

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ensure that correct raw materials from dispensary are staged and checked before mixing commences.
    • Collect water for bulk mixes as per batch document.
    • Assist with all daily mixing activities
    • To do transfers of products, under supervision, to the filling room.
    • Ensure that equipment used is in a good condition at all times (i.e. scales checked) and report any deviations /defects to the Process Leader/Production Pharmacist.
    • Responsible for cleaning all equipment used during the daily tasks and keep a record of such cleaning by completing relevant log books
    • Responsible for cleaning the mixing, gowning, raw material staging rooms and keep them in good order.
    • Responsible for sanitizing the area daily.
    • Responsible for returns of all containers and raw materials back to the dispensary.
    • Completion of relevant sections of the batch book.
    • Assist with CIP and sanitisation in the ASMS.
    • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedure rules and regulations relevant to the process activity.
    • Carry out any necessary documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (process records, etc.).
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • Ensure daily target is met
    • Taking of samples
    • Preparation of disinfectants
    • From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum Grade 12 with Maths and Science
    • Gowning Competent
    • 1 - 2 years experience in production environment, Pharmaceutical / FMCG preferable.
    • Incumbent busy with  / studied Pharmacist Assistant Course (PMA) would be preferred

    Component Prep Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Clean, prepare, and wrap equipment
    • Sterilize equipment
    • Rinse and store equipment
    • Verify condition of equipment and report any problems/issues to process leader
    • Document all steps as per SOP
    • Operation of the vial washer and vial sterilizing tunnel (when required) as per relevant SOP

    In Process Checker

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform volume checks, seal checks, particulate contaminants checks during the filling process and alert the filling operator timeously if any anomalies are observed
    • Perform leak testing during batch filling
    • Responsible for batch sampling as per SOP and batch book requirements and submission of samples to QC laboratories
    • Sampling of batch filling retention samples
    • Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in the department and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping
    • Log books an batch documentation completion
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • Operate autoclaves when required.
    • Ensure daily target is met
    • Comply with all GMP & GRK practices.

    Visual Inspection Team Leader

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Allocate work to subordinates and supervise subordinates in order to ensure all activities in the department are correctly and efficiently undertaken.
    • Maintain and promote efficiency and productivity of subordinates through principles of good supervision to include:
    • Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting team KPIs (output, downtime, lost time etc.)
    • Take corrective actions
    • Carries out short interval production control checks

    • Responsible for clean workplace environment including the equipment.

    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • Ensure daily target is met
    • Checks on necessary batch book completion after and before each process
    • Coordination of components and materials required for production.
    • Is responsible to ensure the correct disposal of rejects
    • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedure rules and regulations relevant to the process activity.
    • Carry out any necessary documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (process records, etc.).
    • Liaise with the shift Supervisor to ensure that there’s adequate consumables / materials, etc. for process activities at all times.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric qualification.
    • 2-3 years in a production environment, preferably Pharmaceuticals or FMCG.
    • Computer Literate
    • Annual renewed, valid Visual Inspector Qualification is mandatory for this role
    • Good eyesight is a pre-requisite.  (Pass the medical eye test)
    • Technical qualification would receive preference.
