    Finance Graduate

    Supports the Finance team with general finance responsibilities as detailed below.

    Scope: (Provide any statistical information relevant to the position that may enhance the understanding of the job. For supervisory positions indicate the number of people supervised, the total who report through other supervisors, and management of external 3rd parties. Other data may include the value of assets entrusted to the position, operating budgets, sales volume, profit responsibility, and regular assignment of cross functional/cross business responsibilities.)

    • Serve as Finance Graduate for the South and Southern Africa business, covering 12.
    • Responsible for SA and SnA payment process, month-end reporting, assisting with SA and SnA planning activities and all other day to day requirements.
    • To ensure quality financial processes, systems and tools are introduced and maintained to support the businesses cross functional teams.
    • To provide financial support to the annual forecasting and budgeting processes.
    • To provide financial control and monthly analysis of actual results vs budgets and forecasts.

    Essential Job Responsibilities
    Payments process

    • Prepare payment packs on a monthly basis, with supporting documents, and timeously submit to the Commercial Finance Partner for authorization.
    • Pro-actively follow up with distributors, regarding outstanding documents.
    • Prepare GL postings which correctly reflect the nature of the transaction for completed payments and timeously submit to the Finance Shared Services team.
    • Prepare remittance advices for all payments made to distributors.
    • Maintain filing of relevant documents.
    • Set-up process for the monthly reconciliation of creditor balances and perform monthly distributor reconciliations.

    Month-end reporting

    • Preparation of monthly Aspen journals including sales recon.
    • Preparation of monthly headcount report.
    • Preparation of the Advertising & Promotion (A&P) expense tracker and the Opex tracker on a monthly basis
    • Submission of HCP reporting on a quarterly basis.
    • Assist with commentary for the monthly analysis of Opex.
    • Assist with IPT responsibilities.

    Forecasting and budgeting process

    • Assist the SA Finance business partner with the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting of headcount, capex and depreciation of new capex.

    Compliance

    • Ensure that there are SOPs / Knowledge Documents to support the systems and processes.
    • Completion and acknowledgement of relevant SOP’s and e-learning
    • Perform L1 and L2 testing as required by the annual testing plan requirements and compile reports which document the procedure and outcomes of testing performed.

    General

    • Maintain selling prices in JDE
    • Prepare and participate in adhoc analysis and projects as required.
    • Ensure adequate systems and processes are in place.
    • Support commercial projects from Emerging Markets perspective.
    • Develop an in-depth knowledge of the local business, the industry and competitors in the industry.
    • Develop an established network within the commercial teams and greater organisation.
    • Provide information and assist with internal and external audits.
    • Assist Commercial Finance partner in managing risks noted on the Risk register.
    • Live the GSK values of integrity, transparency, customer first and respect.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Bcom (Accounting) , Preferably completing CIMA qualification
    • Extensive experience in MS Office (Good working knowledge of Excel)

    Clinical Safety Manager

    ViiV Healthcare is a dynamic, independent company 100% focused on delivering new treatments to people living with HIV.
    This role offers the opportunity to become a member of the ViiV central safety team while working with the ViiV regional medical team in Africa, a team of passionate individuals committed to delivering advances in HIV therapy.
    As part of the global organisation of Global Medical and Research and Development (RDGM), the role-holder will work with the safety team to deliver key Safety and Pharmacovigilance (PV) objectives related to PV activities in the region of Africa.
    The role is based in South Africa, Bryanston.
    The primary responsibility of this role is the enhancement, co-ordination and maintenance of ViiV PV activities in Africa in order to improve reporting and collection of adverse events for ViiV products in this region.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Point of contact for ViiV in PV matters related to the African region including
    • Engagement with internal stakeholders (such as ViiV and GSK medical and safety teams) and relevant external parties and organisations
    • Coordinate planning and lead delivery of ViiV-initiated PV activities in African countries
    • Represent ViiV safety at meetings with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate related to ViiV Africa PV project
    • Work with multiple stakeholders within ViiV and GSK to develop and deliver PV training materials for agreed target audience in these countries, where appropriate deliver training
    • Accountable for delivery of agreed activities and in a timely manner
    • Establishing KPIs for adverse event reporting and monitoring of set targets
    • Development of PV related processes supporting adverse event collection from the region
    • Work collaboratively with relevant GSK/ViiV and external teams to develop appropriate reporting tools/forms
    • Provide ongoing support for the local ViiV medical teams in PV related activities

    Required Qualification And Experience

    • University graduate of a science degree or Masters in a medically related discipline.
    • Pharmacovigilance and/or regulatory experience (min. 5 years) with exposure to and knowledge of PV regulatory requirements in Africa. Experience in project management is desirable.

    • Good communication skills (including technical/clinical writing skills and verbal communication)
    • Good IT skills including, but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
    • Excellent organisation skills and sense of urgency/working to tight timelines
