What You’ll Do

• Providing front line support to our clients across phone, email, web chat and social media
• Answering queries from our client base on all of our products and platforms
• Providing an execution-only phone dealing service (following relevant training and support)
• Resolving trade disputes
• Providing clients with technical support with our front-end platforms and chart packages
• Proactively conversing with our clients about financial markets and our latest innovations
• Conducting audit checks and client administration tasks
• In doing so you’ll benefit from exposure to a vibrant, commercially driven environment, with development opportunities encompassing everything from client reactivation and retention, premium client service and dealing roles.

Who You’ll Be

What you will need is a genuine interest in working in financial markets, along with motivation levels as impressive as your aptitude for numbers and attention to detail – plus:

• A degree-level education
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to work well under pressure
• A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
• Confident to employ basic maths skills, particularly mental arithmetic.
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Literacy in MS Office
• Desirable: experience of working within a financial environment

Join the game-changers :

As a Markets Writer, you will contribute to regular content production for both time-sensitive news and trade ideas, as well as longer term evergreen and educational pieces. You will also play a key role in video scripting and pre-production, and support on larger projects and administrative processes critical to the smooth running and reactive nature of the DailyFX desk. You will have a passion to inform, educate and motivate traders to both draw new clients to DailyFX resources and broker parent IG's products while also supporting existing clients for retention. This will be a key role in providing important education and inspiration to clients and non-clients alike, to ensure we can make trading safe and available for the ambitious!

The progression from a Markets Writer role is to Analyst, then Strategist, then Senior Strategist and Head Strategist, but there are many different ways to create your own personal pathway to incorporate elements of the role that particularly interest you (such as breaking news, media opportunities, PR, client engagement, etc).

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Economics, Investments or Finance with 2:1 or higher;
• Sound previous proven experience in capital markets, either in trading or research;
• Understanding of technical aspects of the financial markets (foreign exchange in particular);
• Personal interest in markets and/or trading;
• Self-motivated and ability to effectively multitask;
• Experience in presenting to crowds and media;
• Experience interacting with high-net worth clients;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Exceptional project management skills; and
• Driven to provide, learn and apply new ideas.
