About the Role

• This engineering position will be supporting and improving multiple software / data platforms in many ways.  With differing levels of maturity, the platforms all need different things, be it: implementing IAC; updating architecture to best practices; helping understand performance issues and other opportunities to improve.  This exciting role will challenge even the most capable of Cloud Engineers and will require candidates that have the strongest technical and interpersonal skills to be successful.

Requirements

• Good experience in Cloud Engineering with a strong focus on Azure and/or AWS.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Preferred: Azure Solutions Architect certification or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Functions).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) technologies (e.g., Terraform, ARM/BICEP).
• Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/EKS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, TypeScript, PowerShell).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., DataDog, Coralogix, AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor).

Responsibilities

• Writing and reviewing documentation for the management, improvement, and support of platforms/assets.
• Completing complex bug fixes and root-cause investigations.
• Working closely with development and platform teams to understand requirements and translate them into high-quality solutions.
• Implementing infrastructure management and deployment best practices, including code/solution reviews.
• Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Resolving complex technical issues with high-quality solutions.
• Mentoring less-established colleagues, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.
• Proactively propose solutions to improve and grow the organization.

About the role

• This position performs complex research, design, and software development assignments within a software functional area or product line, and provides direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology in the development of cross-functional software products. This position performs software design — typically across multiple systems; mentors more-junior members of the team; and talks to users/customers and translates their requests into solutions.

Responsibilities

• End to end executing of the assigned project from definition to final implementation.
• Serving as initial point of escalation for software development issues
• Operating in various development environments including Agile Scrum and Kanban while collaborating with key stakeholders.
• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of complex system components.
• Complete bug fixes of various complexity.
• Work closely with other development team members to understand websites requirements and translate them into software designs.
• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
• Train and mentor entry-level software engineers as directed by department management, ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Software Engineering experience
• BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required
• Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
• End to end executing of the assigned project from definition to final implementation.
• Demonstrate expertise in JavaScript, CSS, HTML as well as web hosting platform.
• Demonstrate at least 5+ Wordpress experience.
• Have experience in GA4 and google tag manager implementation.
• Have an advanced level understanding of cookie categorization to meet compliance requirements.
