    Auto Electrician - Pinetown

    Description

    • Accurately diagnose faults found on vehicles.
    • Carry out required repairs correctly to ensure vehicles do not return with the same faults.
    • Work accurately and timeously to achieve both efficiency and productivity to the required standards.
    • Ensure assembly safety and security procedures are adhered to at all times.
    • Assist with mechanical repairs.
    • Report additional faults to Group Leader/Team Leader found in the protocol.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Grade: 12 Matric Certificate
    • N3 with a trade test certificate as an Auto Electrician

    Skills:

    • Good communication (oral and written) & interpersonal relations skills.
    • Customer focused with a results driven approach.
    • Pro-active, highly motivated and pay attention to detail.
    • Work independently though being a team player.
    • Work well under pressure and maintain good customer relations.
    • Ability to work on standby.

    Experience:

    • Trade Certificate experience in the heavy commercial vehicle industry - 5 years
    • MAN and / or VW heavy commercial vehicles - 0 year

    Group Leader - Olifantsfontein

    Description

    • Ensure their personal appearance always reflects professional, as standards laid by MAN Automotive.
    • Adhering and implementing health and safety standards.
    • Manage, supervise and mentor staff.
    • Display and communicate targets and objectives.
    • Enforce compliance with Health, Safety and PPE rules.
    • Identify training need, encourage continued learning for employees, provide coaching & mentor support.
    • Ensure efficiency in production.
    • Calibration and maintenance of all monitoring / metering equipment to ISO procedures.
    • Complete production plan, schedule & assign personnel; accomplish work results; monitor progress.
    • Process instructions – communicate, lead and guide quality gates on process instructions.
    • Repair the unit when necessary.
    • Work accurately and timeously to achieve both efficiency and productivity to the required standards.
    • Manage the inventory to ensure optimum economic inventory levels.
    • Monitor product quality and initiate corrective measures when discrepancies occur.
    • Participate in the daily action room preparation meetings and take action accordingly.
    • Daily reporting and feedback on tasks/projects.
    • Ensure disciplinary issues regarding poor performance, issues of misconduct are addressed.
    • Ensure late coming, wearing uniform, safety equipment, etc. are appropriately & timeously addressed.
    • Responsible for ensuring that health, safety and environmental procedures are adhered to.
    • Responsible for managing the Production system.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in a similar role in the automotive industry.
    • Relevant Production Qualification Industrial engineering degree.

    Skills:

    • Problem Solving Skills.
    • Project Management Skills.
    • Reliable, performance oriented and self-motivated.
    • Work independently though being a team player.
    • Able to read and interpret drawings.
    • Focus on quality and output performance.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Products Measure and analysis of manufactured structures.
    • Code EB drivers' licence.

    Experience:

    • Experience in a similar role in the automotive industry - 3 years.
    • Experience with some problem-solving tools (any of 8-discipline; PDCA; DMAIC etc.) - 1 year.
    • Working knowledge of Quality Management Systems - 1 year
