    Senior Digital Project Manager - Durbanville

    Responsibilities:

    As the Senior Project Manager, you will undertake a range of crucial responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of projects and maintain exceptional client relationships. Your key duties will include:

    • Operates as the lead point of contact for any matters specific to client account management including, but not limited to extracting briefs, tracking and reporting on progress as well as maintaining clear and constant communication across various channels.
    • Crafting well-written scoping documentation, project plans, and any other supporting materials to aid in production efficiency is critical.
    • Participate in daily stand-ups, ensuring agile processes are followed, and provide feedback to delivery teams, and focus the teams on agreed sprint goals.
    • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects according to customer needs and objectives by driving project deliverables within the production studio.
    • Develop new business opportunities with existing clients by proactively identifying areas of improvement that will expand the scope and size of accounts.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years of proven work experience as a Digital Project Manager within a digital development agency.
    • Experience in delivering large-scale, custom-built web and mobile solutions based on bespoke requirements.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while paying strict attention to detail and balancing resource requirements.
    • Excellent communication skills with a presentable and professional appearance.
    • Experience with project tools such as Jira, Google Apps, Slack, etc.

    Publicist - Johannesburg

    Job Requirements:

    • Matric certificate is essential.
    • A valid driver’s license is essential.
    • Previous experience as a publicist, in public relations, communication or the book industry is essential.
    • Established network of contacts within media is essential.
    • A relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
    • The candidate must be able to represent the company in a beneficial light.
    • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
    • Good general knowledge.
    • Must be self-motivated, pro-active, and able to work independently.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
    • Exceptionally strong organizational and administrative skills.
    • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
    • Computer literacy is essential.
    • A strong interest in and love for books, reading and publishing in general.
    • Experience in content creation/production, marketing and social media management are advantageous.
    • Ability to foster good relations with overseas principals, authors, national media, bookshops, and colleagues.
    • This position would possibly require work-related domestic travel, as well as attendance at functions; book fairs; exhibitions and book launches which involve considerable after hour commitments.
    • Be creative and innovative with title campaigns.
    • The candidate must be able to represent the company in a beneficial light.

    Duties would include:

    • Prepare and execute publicity and promotion plans; author tours and launches.
    • Liaise with the media to obtain maximum positive coverage for the company, its books, and authors.
    • Liaise with the relevant sales managers and oversees principals (publishers) to maximise publicity for their titles that will support and increase sales.
    • Prepare press releases and publicity material such as monthly Highlights newsletters.
    • Build and maintain good relationships between the publicity department and media, booksellers, and authors.
    • Brainstorm creative ideas for capturing media attention and make recommendations for creating media opportunities.
    • Promote a positive image of the publicity department and the relevant division/s
