• Beekman Canopies is searching for a driven and dedicated Quality Controller to join the team in Bellville. This role is responsible for making sure that all quality-related issues are resolved and products meet the company’s quality standards. 

Specific Role Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities

• Test canopies for defects According to the Beekman standard              
• Complete internal Audits and Daily reports
• Identify early indications of spikes in defects and assist to trace root cause.
• Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines
• Work with Department managers to implement action taken to rectify defects.
• Recommend improvement measures to the production process to ensure quality control standards are met.
• Approve product according to required standard before taken to next department.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12
• 2-3 years fiberglass canopy manufacturing experience
• Good communication skills (written and verbal)
• In-depth understanding of company quality standards and procedures
• Beekman Product knowledge
• Comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time.

Job Description

• Beekman Canopies is searching for a driven and dedicated CNC Operator to join the team in Bellville. The purpose of this position is to operate and maintain the CNC machine safely and accurately.

Specific Role Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the CNC machine
• Cutting would be mostly sacrificial moulds, templates, and jigs for various departments
• General admin duties would be maintaining your filing system, keeping a record of materials andconsumables, and managing job cards
• CNC work would include preparing models for CNC, generating toolpaths, cutting parts, verifying,and checking dimensions of cut parts
• Assembly, bonding, and vacuum bagging would be required for larger parts
• You may be required to work overtime or on weekends
• Assist the R&D department with other tasks on an ad hoc basis

Qualifications and Experience

• 1-2 years work related experience
• Grade 12 or N3 Technical qualification
• 2 Years working experience using CAD software is a pre-requisite, especially Mastercam,Solidworks and Rhino

Skills and Personal Attributes

• Computer Literacy, especially in Word and Excel
• Good health and physically fit to assist in loading and unloading of materials from the CNC table
• Willingness to learn new software and skills
• Good problem-solving skills.
