    GL Accountant Assistant (Temp)

    Key Responsibilities:

    Perform accounting activities on an "as needed" basis, including:

    • Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
    • Balancing the General Ledger to AR and AP sub-systems
    • Processing payments through the ERP system and reconciling statements
    • Obtaining inter-company invoices and documents, accruing unprocessed invoices, and reconciling inter-company balances
    • Ensuring alignment between the General Ledger and Fixed Asset/Lease sub-systems
    • Preparing and processing relevant journals with supporting information
    • Maintaining Balance Sheet Reconciliations per corporate requirements
    • Following up on corrections and clearing balance sheet reconciling items

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared service or multi-country environment
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
    • Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    Specialist Quality Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    Development of Quality Requirements:

    • Collaborate with engineering, product development, and quality teams to establish quality standards for various parts and materials.
    • Analyse and interpret product specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements to align part numbers with quality objectives.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation detailing quality specifications, acceptance criteria, and testing protocols for each part number.

    Assignment of Quality Requirements to Part Numbers:

    • Assign quality standards, inspection processes, and testing methods to specific part numbers based on design, material specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    • Ensure compliance of part numbers with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and customer-specific quality requirements.
    • Manage and update a centralized database of part numbers and their associated quality requirements.

    Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement:

    • Conduct regular audits to verify that parts meet assigned quality standards and initiate corrective actions as needed.
    • Identify and resolve quality issues related to parts by collaborating with suppliers and internal teams.

    Collaboration and Communication:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality requirements related to part numbers.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams—including engineering, procurement, production, and quality assurance—to ensure alignment between quality standards and overall product development and manufacturing goals.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and familiarity with industry standards such as ISO, ASME, etc.
    • Strong understanding of material properties, manufacturing processes, and the product lifecycle.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

    Temp General Ledger Accountant

    Key Responsibilities:

    Accounts Receivable and Payable:

    • Conduct monthly reconciliation of all Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledger accounts.
    • Ensure the General Ledger balances with AR and AP sub-systems, reconciling any discrepancies.
    • Process all payments via the ERP system, reconciling with bank statements.

    Inter-company Accounting:

    • Obtain and manage inter-company invoices and supporting documents.

    Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting:

    • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
    • Ensure alignment between the General Ledger and Fixed Asset/Lease sub-systems.
    • Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations and submit reports to Corporate Head Office.

    Inventory Management:

    • Ensure monthly reconciliation of inventory sub-systems to the General Ledger.
    • Collaborate with departments to accurately account for Work in Progress (WIP).

    General Ledger and Month-End Reporting:

    • Prepare and process relevant journals with appropriate documentation.
    • Maintain Balance Sheet reconciliations in compliance with corporate requirements.
    • Execute monthly close procedures and prepare financial information according to the close schedule.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Professional Accountant (SA) or AGA (SA) designation is advantageous but not required.

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years of general accounting experience in commerce or completed SAIPA/SAICA articles/formal accounting training.
    • Knowledge of IFRS required; US GAAP and SOX reporting knowledge is advantageous.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong understanding of accounting theory.
    • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in email, Microsoft applications, and ERP systems.
    • Fluency in English; knowledge of French is advantageous.

    Hydraulics Engineer

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design and calculation of hydraulic systems and components in accordance with international standards and regulations 
    • Prepare Hydraulics Flow Diagram, bills of material, technical documentation, and test procedures and engineering reports
    • Contribute to standardization of hydraulic system / components and conduct improved quality, environment, and safety
    • Comply with and perform NOV Quality Management System processes and procedures 
    • The positions also include versatile and varied engineering work, a close cooperation with other departments and disciplines within NOV 
    • Some travel activities will be expected

    SKILLS, TRAINING, OR SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

    • We are looking for engineers with a Master's or Bachelor's education (Mechanical/Mechatronics) or other equivalent and relevant experience
    • Understanding of hydraulic theory and the ability to apply knowledge in the design of hydraulic circuits 
    • Hydraulic experience theoretical and practical with land and offshore drill floor and auxiliary equipment preferred (Desirable)
    • Knowledge of hydraulic components and suppliers in the market (Essential)
    • Thorough knowledge of AutoCAD and computer skills (Essential)
    • Ability to effectively communicate technical principles and equipment operation to other stakeholders
