    QA Advisor

    Job Description

    • NOV South Africa is seeking an experienced QA Advisor to join our team in Gqeberha. In this role you will assist with ensuring the integrity of the certified quality management systems for both South Africa and Angola. Responsibilities as a QA Advisor are to exceed customer expectations, provide support for the daily activities of the QMS, and enhance the quality of product/service provision within the facility. You will have the opportunity to use and advance your existing Quality skills to explore and develop methods of continuous improvement in alignment with our overall strategy and vision. Monitoring and controlling the day-to-day activities to ensure that they are delivered right first time and on time in an effective manner.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Development and continuing improvement of the Quality Management System for NOV South Africa and Angola required by (a) accreditation bodies (b) legislation (c) internal audit and performance measures
    • Assist in the development and management of NOV standardized Quality Procedures and Policies appropriate to the organizations purpose with the focus on technical requirements
    • Work with operations to ensure that the QA processes are integrated and aligned
    • Analyze quality problems to identify root causes and implement corrective action.
    • Cost analysis and defect drive down – addressing non-conformance issues with all production teams 
    • Conduct internal audits on technical / special processes (such as MPI, LPI & Welding)
    • Raise and process Customer complaints as required and determine and take the most appropriate action, using all available relevant data sources
    • Interfacing with customers and NOV Personnel on relevant quality issues
    • Lead and participate in any Quality improvement projects
    • Lead, facilitate and participate in internal and 3rd party audits as required

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • QA Qualification or Technical Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
    • Certified Lead Auditor
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC
    • Hands-on experience in Internal and 3rd Party Auditing
    • Strong technical knowledge of Manufacturing and Repair processes
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
    • Knowledge of API Q1 standards
    • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems

    GL Accountant Assistant

    Job Description

    • NOV South Africa is seeking an experienced temp GL Accountant Assistant. This position is part of the Africa Accounting Shared Service team and supports the team with accounting and filing work required for accounting activities and financial audits.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform accounting activities on an "as needed" basis, including:
    • Monthly reconciliation of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
    • Balancing the General Ledger to AR and AP sub-systems
    • Processing payments through the ERP system and reconciling statements
    • Obtaining inter-company invoices and documents, accruing unprocessed invoices, and reconciling inter-company balances
    • Ensuring alignment between the General Ledger and Fixed Asset/Lease sub-systems
    • Preparing and processing relevant journals with supporting information
    • Maintaining Balance Sheet Reconciliations per corporate requirements
    • Following up on corrections and clearing balance sheet reconciling items

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared service or multi-country environment
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
    • Proficient in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
