    MIS Technical Lead

    What will you do?

    • We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced Business Intelligence developer to take ownership of one of the core reporting functions within MiWay.
    • This critical role is responsible for bridging the gap between data and commercial strategy. You will lead the design, development, and delivery of a robust BI landscape, transforming complex data into integrated views and actionable insights that directly influence the key business focus areas and supports our goal of operational excellence.

    Qualification Required

    • A Bachelor’s degree or relevant certificate in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.

    Minimum Experience

    • BI and Analytics experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence development, data analysis, or a similar quantitative role.
    • Leadership experience: Relevant experience in management, team lead, or senior supervisory capacity is advantageous
    • Industry expertise: Demonstrable experience working within the Short-Term Insurance or broader Financial Services industry is advantageous.
    • Data warehouse experience: Proven background in designing and working with Data warehouse concepts.
    • SQL mastery: Expert-level proficiency in working with large, complex SQL Server databases.

    Deliverables

    • The MIS Technical Lead will be the primary custodian of data in their respective area, responsible for the full reporting lifecycle. Key deliverables include:

    Data integration and modeling

    • Analysing and understanding data from multiple sources to create integrated, unified views that can be used to drive accurate decision-making within the operational/other environment.
    • Working with several large and complex SQL databases to ensure data quality, integrity, and accessibility for reporting purposes.
    • Be fully capable of developing and maintaining OLAP or Tabular Model Cubes within a SQL environment (SQL Server 2010 or higher) to enable high-speed analytical queries.
    • Propose and implement data schema and data flow optimisation for enhanced reporting performance and system scalability.

    Reporting delivery and implementation

    • Establishing, collecting, and maintaining the complete set of business reporting requirements by engaging directly with leadership and internal stakeholders.
    • Leading the design and implementation of new BI reports and dashboards based on defined business requirements.
    • Analysing existing legacy reports, optimising them for efficiency, and driving standardisation across the company to ensure consistency in performance metrics.
    • Setting up, maintaining, and administering core BI tools, infrastructure, and ensuring seamless integration with all company data sources.

    Stakeholder management

    • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients and acting as a trusted advisor to ensure BI delivery consistently meets their strategic requirements.
    • Proactively identifying trends, performance anomalies, and commercial opportunities within the data, and translating these findings into clear, impactful presentations for executive audiences.

    Team leadership and management

    • Lead, mentor, and manage the performance and professional development of the relevant reporting team.
    • Allocate BI and BA resources effectively across projects and support activities, ensuring optimal workload distribution.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and high performance.
    • Set clear objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to team members.

    Competencies Required

    Technical competencies

    • Advanced user and developer proficiency with BI technologies, particularly Microsoft Power BI. Familiarity with the Microsoft ecosystem (e.g., PowerApps) is beneficial.
    • In-depth understanding of database management systems, Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), and the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework.
    • Strong knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for structured report delivery, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for data movement and transformation.

    Behavioral and leadership attributes

    • Possesses an analytical mind with a proven problem-solving aptitude and the ability to handle ambiguity and complexity.
    • Clear understanding of how BI insights drive measurable commercial outcomes 
    • Proven abilities to take initiative, be innovative in reporting solutions, and champion best practices.
    • Strong leadership skills focused on developing talent, managing delivery timelines, and fostering collaborative relationships across technical and business teams.
    • A strong willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to the evolving data needs of a dynamic insurance market.

    Outbound Sales Agent : HOE

    What will you do?

    • The Outbound Call Centre Agent is responsible for proactively contacting potential and existing MiWay customers to promote insurance products, conduct policy reviews, generate leads, and ensure a positive customer experience.
    • The role supports MiWay’s sales, retention, and customer engagement objectives by delivering high‑quality outbound interactions in line with regulatory and performance standards.May provide customers with essential and  information regarding products and services.
    • Predictive dialling may be used when contacting the client.  Provides quality service to external and internal customers by ensuring accuracy in recording of data.

    Minimum Qualification and Experience

    Minimum Qualification 

    • Grade 12 / Standard 10 / NQF 4
    • RE5 Certificate
    • Fully FAIS Accredited (As per Dofa date)

    Minimum Experience

    • Experience of more than 1 years in a sales environment

    Talent Acquisition Consultant

    • We're looking for a proactive, Talent Acquisition professional to step into a fast paced role where you will directly impact Miway's continued growth in the war for top talent.
    • In this role you will be responsible for providing talent sourcing and recruitment expertise to support Miway business's current and future talent requirements that will empower the business to achieve its objective. 
    • Your core mission is to move beyond reactive hiring and execute the Employment Equity and strategic recruitment plan to ensure our talent mix is intentionally diverse and aligned with business goals.
    • You will be a Pipeline Architect, partnering with business leaders to proactively forecast needs and build robust, high-quality internal and external talent pools 

    Knowledge and Skills

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders and HC team to determine talent pool requirements.
    • Proactively develop an internal and external talent database to increase recruitment responsiveness and effectiveness
    • Manage recruitment process within SLA 
    • Proactively develop and maintain suitable talent pools within Sales and Business insurance & Brokers, through a proactive talent search capability.
    • Recruitment administrative and MIS reporting
    • Consult with TA Manager, and business stakeholders to determine, plan and forecast current and future recruitment needs
    • Data analytics (Talent mapping, Linkedin insights, best practice data)

    Recruitment

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine short and medium-term recruitment needs
    • Provide external talent search capability and headhunting service to the business
    • Set up and maintain talent-sourcing channels such as social media (Linkedin and TikTok) and search engines to uncover talent.
    • Coordinate the advertisement of roles through TA Administrator to advertise vacancy in line with business requirements and relevant TA standards
    • Leverage resources (including Ai) to screen and attract high caliber candidates through various social and professional networking site channels
    • Conduct candidate screening and shortlisting 
    • Manage consistent recruiting, interviewing and hiring processes that support the employer brand and create a positive candidate experience
    • Guide and advise the business to stakeholders to effectively influence the hiring process in order to ensure the selection of top talent and support the achievement of employment equity targets
    • Contribute to the offer negotiation process by objectively determining candidates' salary expectations in line with the budgeted salary benchmark for the role
    • Regularly provide feedback to stakeholders throughout the recruitment process
    • Accurately maintain and update recruitment documentation in line with relevant SOP
    • Compile and submit recruitment scorecards, monthly reports and other related metrics as required
    • Make recommendations to constantly enhance and improve talent attraction practices and processes

    Self-management and Team work

    • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers (HC, L&D and Transformation teams) and stakeholders (Internal & external)
    • Positively influence and participate in change initiatives
    • Continuously develop own expertise in terms of professional, industry, and legislative knowledge
    • Contribute to continuous innovation through development, sharing, implementation of new ideas

    Contribute to financial controls

    • Help maintain agency spending (recruitment agencies)
    • Identify solutions to enhance cost-effectiveness and increase operational efficiencies
    • Provide input in the risk identification process and communicate recommendations to TA Manager or in appropriate forums

    Minimum Requirments 

    Qualification

    • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Industrial and Organisation Psychology or related qualification

    Experience

    • 3 – 5 years of bulk Talent Acquisition experience
    • Recruitment Agency recruitment exposure advantageous
    • Recruitment experience in the insurance or Financial Services industry is preferable
    • High Volume recruitment experience desirable 
    • Experience recruiting via Linkedin advantageous
    • Strong Administartion skills
