    Accountant (Group Finance)

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
    • Financial reporting and month-end financial management.
    • Corporate governance, compliance and financial controls.
    • Fixed asset accounting and capital expenditure management.
    • Audit support, statutory reporting and stakeholder engagement.
    • Financial analysis and business performance monitoring. 

    Requirements

    • Qualifications and experience: Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with completed SAICA articles. Minimum 3 years' relevant accounting experience in a financial reporting or finance environment. Strong understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and financial controls.
    • Experience working with SAP or a similar ERP financial system. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills. Excellent stakeholder engagement, planning, and communication skills.

    Chief Accountant

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and coordinate the Group’s monthly financial reporting and consolidation processes.
    • Coordinate and oversee interim and annual financial reporting.
    • Analyse financial performance and business drivers, identify process and cost-saving opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.
    • Provide technical accounting guidance, monitor changes in accounting standards and legislation, and ensure compliance with IFRS, statutory requirements, and financial governance practices across the Group.
    • Supervise, develop, and support finance employees.
    • Support the delivery of Group Finance objectives.

    Requirements

    • Qualifications and experience: Relevant Bachelor’s degree. Registered CA(SA). Minimum 2 years' relevant post-articles experience. Experience with Group financial consolidations and financial reporting.  Experience preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS. Experience working with auditors and managing audit deliverables.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage and optimise an allocated client portfolio by conducting structured engagements, segmenting clients based on value and needs, and ensuring all client information is accurate, up to date, and aligned to service expectations.
    • Provide holistic financial planning services across long-term insurance and investment solutions by following a structured advice process, identifying client needs, and delivering suitable, compliant recommendations to both internal and external clients.
