    Data Analyst

    We are looking for talented analytical professionals, with a specific focus on data-driven decision making. The successful candidate will be accountable for a wide range of predictive and prescriptive modelling functions that will focus on profitable development and sustainable growth of the Group. Working closely with the senior management team you will be responsible for the development and maintenance of data assets and utilising these assets in predictive modelling and decision analysis.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Supporting the development of data-driven predictive and prescriptive modelling
    • Developing an environment to perform simulations analysis and optimization
    • Support and enhance the existing segmentations models
    • Data management - develop and maintain the internal data assets to support modelling initiatives
    • Management and integration of external data sources
    • Dashboards - development and maintenance of key performance indicators for financial, underwriting and distribution
    • Reports - create and maintain business reports to direct thought processes that drives action
    • Ad-hoc analysis - statistical investigations as required from time to time by the business
    • Continuous process improvement and strategy evaluation
    • Participate in strategic projects throughout the group where analytical skills are required

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Post graduate degree in numerical science, e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial, Data Science
    • At least two years working experience in an analytical role
    • Advanced coding skills in one or more of the following: SAS, SQL, Java, R, Python, etc.
    • Strong modelling skills including experience in performing statistical investigations and building pricing / predictive / machine learning models
    • Experience working with client administration systems and data warehousing
    • Strong data management skills
    • Logical and analytical ability
    • Self-starter, problem solver and finisher
    • Good report writing and presentation skills
    • Commercial and risk awareness
    • Ability to engage with people from all parts of the organisation
    • Experience in the insurance industry is recommended

    Qualification And Experience

    • BSc (Maths, Statistics, Actuarial Science) with 1 to 2 years related experience.

    Office Assistant : Estate Department

    • Rendering of excellent client service.
    • Telephone administration.
    • Customer care.
    • Effective communication, listening, understanding and interpreting to meet Sanlam Trust requirements.
    • Handling of enquiries related to estates and trusts.
    • Administrative responsibilities, including visits to Masters Office, SARS and any relevant institution to obtain documentation, lodge documents, resolving queries with Master and SARS, managing e-mail, faxes, incoming and outgoing mail, record keeping of archive files and call backs.
    • Time and priority management.
    • Office management.
    • Keeping and updating of asset register.
    • Assistant to the Estate Operational Manager.
    • Operational responsibilities (housekeeping, applying of safety and security measurements).

    What will make you successful in this role?
    Qualifications

    • Grade 12

    Experience

    • 2 years’ experience in a frontline client care capacity within the Fiduciary industry.
