    Group Consolidation and Tax Accountant

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    • Responsible for various technically oriented statutory reporting deliverables, most notably the compilation of monthly, quarterly, interim and year-end reporting packs and annual financial statements, together with the review of tax computations and general tax administration for Sea Harvest Group and its subsidiaries.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Statutory reporting

    • Compilation of monthly, quarterly, interim and year-end reporting packs for the Group.
    • Maintain consolidation journals and reconciliations, including PPA and related goodwill, the foreign currency translation reserve, and intercompany transactions and balance confirmations.
    • Assist with the accounting of complex transactions throughout the Group, including acquisitions and disposals of subsidiaries and restructuring transactions.
    • Ensure the reporting timetable is adhered to, including liaising with the various subsidiaries to assist where needed and to communicate exceptions.
    • Assist with interim and year-end external audit queries and requests.
    • Assist with the preparation of Group and subsidiary statutory financial statements.
    • Assist with the preparation of high-quality reports for presentation to the Audit Committee.
    • Review the monthly consolidation using the system, perform analytical procedures and follow up on unusual transactions and variances.
    • Align subsidiary reporting to the Group's requirements and policies.
    • Perform an annual assessment of goodwill impairment across the various CGUs.
    • Assist in the valuation of financial assets and liabilities.

    Budgets and forecasts

    • Assist with the preparation of the consolidated balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement for forecasts and budgets.
    • Assist with loading data for forecasts and budgets onto the reporting tool.

    Reporting tool (Adaptive)

    • Act as custodian and champion of the Group reporting tool.
    • Assist the Group finance managers with loading quality financial information monthly and mapping new trial balance accounts where needed.
    • Drive further automation and optimisation of financial reports within the Group.
    • Maintain and implement the reporting tool for newly acquired subsidiaries.

    Tax reporting and administration

    • Review tax schedules.
    • Review provisional tax calculations for Group entities.
    • Assist with the preparation of responses to SARS tax queries.
    • Assist with the Group transfer pricing review.
    • Maintain all Group tax opinions.
    • Review subsidiary tax returns.
    • Maintain an overall view of tax compliance across the Group (VAT, PAYE, income tax).

    Other

    • Research new IFRS standards and draft accounting position papers.
    • Assist with ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
    • Support other finance-related projects.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Chartered Accountant.
    • 3 - 5 years' experience in a consolidations or reporting role.
    • Preferably from a listed environment.
    • High level of computer literacy across MS Office, with strong proficiency in MS Excel.
    • Strong IFRS knowledge and experience.

    Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) Data Analyst

    ROLE OVERVIEW: 

    • To provide the data infrastructure, analysis and reporting systems that underpin both the Group's external ESG disclosure and its internal sustainability decision-making. Working closely with the Group Sustainability Manager, Finance and the operating businesses, the role ensures that ESG performance can be measured reliably, reported with confidence to the Group Exco and external stakeholders, and withstand external assurance. 

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:  

    Data platform and integrity 

    • Manage and maintain the Group's integrated ESG and GHG data platform, including collection, cleaning and validation of data from source. 
    • Establish and apply data-quality controls – consistent metric definitions, calculation methodologies, version control and a clear audit trail – to ensure data is verified, repeatable and assurance-ready. 
    • Ensure the business supplies data on time and that it is sanitised, checked and reconciled before use. 

    Inventory and metrics compilation 

    • Compile environmental performance data from wild capture vessels and aquaculture operations for the GHG inventory and IFRS S2 climate metrics, including marine fuel combustion (Scope 1, 2 and 3), refrigerant/fugitive emissions and purchased energy. 
    • Maintain emission factors and calculation tools in line with the GHG Protocol and calculate absolute and intensity metrics across the relevant entities (e.g. SHC, WPP). 

    Reporting and disclosure support 

    • Produce regular management dashboards for the Group Exco covering ESG KPIs, with trend and variance analysis. 
    • Support preparation of IFRS S1/S2 data, SASB disclosures and regulatory submissions with clean, verified data, and provide working papers and evidence to support external assurance. 
    • Track performance against agreed targets and flag data anomalies or emerging risks to the Group Sustainability Manager. 

    Engagement 

    • Liaise with operational data providers – vessel managers, factory and aquaculture sites – to secure complete and accurate source data. 

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:   

    • A degree in environmental science, data/information science, statistics, finance/accounting, sustainability or a related field. 
    • Around 3 - 6 years' experience in a data, sustainability, reporting or analytical role. 
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel; exposure to ESG/carbon software or BI/dashboard tools (e.g. Power BI) is an advantage. 
    • Advantageous: training in GHG accounting / the GHG Protocol, or familiarity with ESG disclosure frameworks. 

    KEY COMPETENCIES: 

    • Strong data-management and analytical skills – data cleaning, validation, reconciliation and turning raw data into clear management information. 
    • Understanding of GHG accounting and ESG/climate metrics, ideally in an industrial or primary-industry context. 
    • Able to work across functions – comfortable chasing data from operations and collaborating with Finance.

    Sales Representatives

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    • Responsible for driving profitable growth in Sea Harvest’s domestic Foodservice business by expanding existing accounts, securing new customers and increasing market share. The sales representative must achieve agreed volume, revenue and margin targets while maintaining strong customer service and commercial discipline.
    • As a representative of a vertically integrated seafood business, the successful candidate must understand the full value chain—from harvesting and processing through logistics and distribution—and use this knowledge to develop relevant customer solutions.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Sales growth

    • Promote the Sea Harvest Foodservice range; achieve sales, revenue, margin and market-share targets; develop territory plans; grow share of wallet; and identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

    Business development

    • Prospect for and secure customers in hospitality, restaurants, catering, institutional and quick-service restaurant sectors, supported by relevant proposals and product solutions.

    Customer management

    • Build strong relationships, conduct regular account reviews and business development meetings, and respond promptly to customer needs and concerns to support satisfaction and retention.

    Commercial management

    • Negotiate agreements within approved pricing, credit and trading policies; maintain pricing discipline; monitor customer profitability; and recommend actions to improve account performance.

    Market intelligence

    • Track market trends, competitor activity, pricing and customer requirements; report emerging opportunities and risks; and contribute to sales and marketing initiatives.

    Operational coordination

    • Work with procurement, logistics, operations, finance and customer service to support forecasting, product availability and seamless execution from order placement through delivery and payment.

    Administration and reporting

    • Maintain accurate customer records, call reports, forecasts and opportunity pipelines; report performance against targets; and support collections and healthy debtor accounts.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • A relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business, Commerce or a related field is advantageous.
    • Sales experience in FMCG, Foodservice, seafood, protein or a related trading environment, with a proven record in business development and customer acquisition would be advantageous.
    • Strong commercial and financial understanding
    • A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport are essential
    • Willingness to travel extensively within the allocated region and nationally, and to relocate nationally if business requirements necessitate.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Ability to engage effectively with customers across multiple segments and channels.
    • Genuine interest in seafood products, customer solutions, market development and continuous learning.
    • Regular visits to Sea Harvest vessels, factories, cold stores and depots to build practical knowledge of the business beyond the customer interface and strengthen understanding of the full value chain

    Turner Artisan

    ROLE OVERVIEW:

    • To manufacture, repair, maintain and refurbish mechanical components and equipment used in fishing operations, cold storage facilities, and marine vessels.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Machining and Fabrication

    • Operate conventional and/or CNC lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, and grinding equipment.
    • Manufacture and repair shafts, bushes, sleeves, bearings, pulleys, couplings, and other mechanical components.
    • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, verniers, dial indicators, and other measuring instruments.

    Maintenance and Repairs

    • Conduct maintenance and repair work on fish processing equipment and factory machinery.
    • Assist with breakdown repairs to minimize operational downtime.
    • Refurbish worn mechanical components to extend equipment life.
    • Support planned maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules.

    Vessel and Marine Support

    • Carry out machining and repair work on vessel components where required.
    • Repair shafts, pump components, winch parts, hydraulic system components, and other marine equipment.
    • Assist during vessel maintenance periods and dry-docking activities

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade Test Certificate as a Turner Artisan (Red Seal preferred).
    • Grade 12 / Matric.
    • Minimum 3 to 5 years' post-trade experience in a marine, fishing, or engineering environment.
    • Experience operating conventional lathes and milling machines.
    • Marine or fishing industry experience will be advantageous.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS/KNOWLEDGE

    • Mechanical maintenance principles.
    • Engineering drawings and technical specifications.
    • Precision measurement techniques.
    • Occupational Health and Safety Act requirements.
