Requirements

In this position you will perform the following key responsibilities: Conduct thorough reviews of customer compliance programs to ensure regulatory alignment.

• Analyze transactions to detect suspicious activity and identify red flags and potential breaches of the customer’s agreement
• Investigate and escalate potential high-risk behaviors or patterns.
• Draft clear and concise reports and documentation related to AML findings. And conduct the required follow up .
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders to support compliance initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of AML procedures and controls.
• Manage multiple priorities with strong organizational and decision-making skills.

The ideal candidate for this position should:

• University degree or equivalent, ideally with a professional Certificate in AML field such as ACAMS- CGSS would be an advantage
• Minimum of five years of AML compliance experience in the financial services sector
• Knowledge of financial crimes and sanctions prevention requirements and controls (AML/CFT, Sanctions, etc.)
• Experience or certification in compliance or risk management would be a desirable advantage.
• Familiarity with industry practices and professional standards
• Significant background in regulated payments and financial services, especially money transfer payment systems
• Knowledge of a regulated environment and associated risk.
• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering success while working within a team environment.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills for documentation, drafting reports and presentations.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with and influence colleagues at all levels.
• Fluency in English (Reading/Writing/Oral)
• Digitally aware and experienced with open source research

Key Responsibilities:

User Research & Analysis:

• Conduct user research to understand the needs, behaviors, and pain points of various user roles, including Clients/Applicants, Auditors (Internal/External), Technical Reviewers, Certification Administrators, Sales & Business Development, Customer Service Agents, Planners, Finance, and Management.
•  Analyze complex business requirements and ISO standards (17021-1, 17065) to translate them into user-centric design solutions.
• Map and optimize "client journeys" across the entire certification lifecycle, from initial application to renewal or withdrawal.

 Information Architecture & Workflow Design:

• Design clear and logical information architecture for 10 core modules including Client Application Management, Quotation & Contracting, Audit Program Planning, Audit Execution, and Reporting & Dashboards.
•  Develop efficient workflows for critical processes such as digitized application forms (ISO 9001, 14001, etc.), quotation generation based on audit duration calculators, 3-year audit program planners, auditor assignment with conflict-of-interest checks, and stage 1 & 2 audit input forms.
• Structure complex data displays for features like audit backlog views, auditor days tracking, and certificate status dashboards.

Wireframing & Prototyping:

• Create low-fidelity wireframes and high-fidelity interactive prototypes for various system interfaces, including the Client Portal, internal dashboards, and specialized modules for Local Content verification.
• Design user flows for mobile-first interactions where relevant, such as for onsite audit input forms or verification execution modules that capture findings, photos, GPS data, and digital signatures.

User Interface (UI) Design:

• Develop a consistent and visually appealing UI that aligns with brand guidelines and provides an intuitive experience across all CIMS modules and user types.
•  Design user-friendly digital checklists, file upload fields, and NC classification interfaces for audit execution.
•  Ensure effective presentation of complex business logic, such as multi-site logic, risk-based pricing matrices, rotational allocation engines, and ISO 27001 + POPIA control integration.
• Design Reporting & KPI Dashboards for internal users to track audit performance and certificate status.

 Usability Testing & Iteration:

• Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, helping to define test scenarios and gather feedback from end-users and scheme coordinators.
• Iterate designs based on user feedback and UAT results, ensuring critical functions meet defined business rules and workflows.

 Collaboration & Communication:

•  Collaborate closely with Business Analysts (especially for "client journeys" and "functional specs" per module), Systems Certification Leads, Scheme Owners, Front-End Developers & Solutions Architect, and other stakeholders.
• Work with integration teams to ensure seamless UI/UX for touchpoints with SharePoint, CRM, JDE integration, and LDAP sync.
•  Contribute to the creation and maintenance of a design system, UI component library, and style guides for CIMS.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer or Product Designer, preferably on complex enterprise or SaaS applications.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools.
• Experience in Agile delivery frameworks and sprint planning. Demonstrated ability to translate intricate business rules and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, POPIA, DTIC rules for Local Content) into clear and usable interfaces.
• Proficiency in using design tools such as Figma, Figjam, Adobe XD etc
• Strong understanding of information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.
• Experience with user research methodologies, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing.
• Ability to design effective data visualizations and dashboards.
• Understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and designing secure, yet accessible, interfaces for diverse user permissions.
• Familiarity with designing for integrations with systems like CRM, JDE, SharePoint, Ms Azure Cloud, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Experience with mobile design for data capture and evidence upload is a plus
