    Quality Supervisor - IM-PET

    Main tasks & responsibilities:

    Measurement and Testing

    • Ensure that all required measurements per internal and customer-specified requirements (dimensional, functional and visual attributes), are performed and recorded according to schedule.
    • Maintain optimum performance and internal calibration checks on quality-related equipment

    Customer Relationship Management regarding Quality issues

    • Work with production and customers to determine optimized process settings to meet specified requirements (specifically during the sampling and product qualification process).

    Quality and Food Safety Systems

    • Ensure compliance with all statutory (ISO 9001 quality management system and FSSC 22000 food safety management system) and other ALPLA system requirements.
    • Assist in hazard analysis and HACCP program, as well as PRP assessments and implementation of corrective actions.

    Documentation

    • Maintain signed customer product specifications.
    • Develop and maintain all internal product and packaging specifications.
    • Facilitator of Root Cause Analysis process by involving relevant departments in developing appropriate corrective action responses.

    Quality Control

    • Assess and ensure that test plans cover all the statutory, customer and internal requirements.
    • Monitor and trend online testing through daily checks of SPC data analysis.
    • Responsible for promoting quality and Food Safety mindset in all plant employees; perform routine line inspections / assessments in area of responsibility.

    Colour of products

    • Responsible for ensuring that appropriate colour matching occurs with each new product start-up.

    People Management

    • Live the ALPLA identity and lead by example.
    • Regularly schedule quality staff meetings with the team.
    • Ensure the team works together as efficiently as possible.
    • Recruit (with HR) new employees in their area of responsibility.

    What makes you great

    • 4-year degree preferably in chemistry or science area or equivalent experience
    • Experience with physical lab testing equipment, callipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment and with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).
    • At least 5 years of work experience in Quality Control and Assurance and Food Safety combined with a demonstrated track-record of accomplishments as a QA Supervisor, preferably in the manufacturing environment.
    • Proven track of leading people and passion for developing employees.
    • Highly self-motivated and self-driven
    • Profound MS Office skills (Excel, Word etc.).
    • Ability to work well with other departments.
    • Ability to manage Customer Relations.
    • Able to handle multi-task environments with excellent organizational skills.
    • Profound English and local language skills.

    Assistant Production Manager

    Key Duties & Responsibilities

    Trainee Program Participation:

    • Engage in a structured trainee program, scheduling meetings and maximizing learning.
    • Develop expertise in production technologies and specialize in at least two.
    • Understand interdepartmental dependencies and budget execution.

    Manufacturing & Production Support:

    • Manage production reporting, waste handling, and rework processes.
    • Lead process improvement workshops using LEAN tools.
    • Conduct root cause analyses for production issues and customer complaints.
    • Assist in resource planning and trend analysis for improvements.

    Operational Excellence:

    • Participate in interdisciplinary projects (NEXT, HSE, 5S, Food Safety).
    • Implement improvement initiatives through training and SOPs.
    • Lead teams, ensuring structured project management and impact measurement.
    • Support change management initiatives.

    Production Department Management:

    • Conduct supervisor meetings and assist in recruitment and training.
    • Oversee shift handovers, schedules, and compliance with safety regulations.
    • Support disciplinary processes and annual performance evaluations.
    • Provide leave coverage for the Production Manager.

    Compliance with GMP:

    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and housekeeping regulations.
    • Maintain 5S principles and support food safety audits (FSSC, ISO 9001).

    Plant Engineer

    What you will enjoy doing

    • The Plant Engineering – is responsible for designing and delivering on engineering plan and projects for all SOAF (Southern Africa) plants, although most of the time will be spent in Lanseria, supporting the local plants' maintenance teams in implementation/improvement of proper equipment and maintenance when and where needed.
    • Responsible to define, plan, order and direct utilities installations
    • Performs cost analysis for facility or utilities equipment
    • Monitors the production plant infrastructure equipment parameters to ensure operation within accepted, defined specifications including electrical power usage
    • Briefs and manages all contractors to either newly install, repair or maintain the above-mentioned infrastructure equipment.
    • Coordinates all infrastructure project with clear project objectives and a timetable to ensure that all tasks are completed within time and budget
    • Assists in design and coordination of plant layout with CAD
    • Reviews plant layout design for compliance with local law, engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements
    • Updates our internal ERP system (eMIS) in terms of energy and water consumption, costs, and infrastructure
    • Participates in designing, updating drawing layouts, managing and or monitoring small to midsize projects regarding the facility and utilities. •
    • Coordinates and develops facility and infrastructure team/Maintenance team.

    • Min. qualification - Technical Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering with a minimum 5 Years' experience in FMCG or related industry.

    Logistics Supervisor - Dundee

    KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Organize warehouse inventory with section chart and row count
    • Record daily figures to compile month-end reports and responsible for inventory accuracy and reporting
    • Schedule pickup, deliveries and repairs for vendors to ensure smooth operating warehouse (i.e. waste, fuel, forklift, equipment etc.)
    • Monitor shipments to ensure timely receipt, ascertain any damages and verify correct quantity
    • Keep invoicing up-to-date
    • Update records and report on a regular basis
    • Data analysis: Synthesize data and analyse trends to support Plant Manager
    • Make periodical freight tenders (at least every 2nd year) together with purchasing
    • Optimize transport capacity utilization
    • Reduce transport losses due to express deliveries, not full return freights,…
    • Secondary packaging management
    • Standardize and optimize secondary packaging follow up (increasing cycle times and speed, continuous follow-up of multi-usage packaging material flow to and from the customer to the ALPLA plants)
    • Use correct packaging concerning total cost of ownership (handling, storage, purchasing price, rotations, transport, quality)
    • Identify areas of improvement within logistics at ALPLA and continuously search for solutions and optimizations in collaboration with Corporate Logistics.
