    Reporting Specialist, D1, HO083/23GS

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Financial Management
    • Implementation of financial accounting policies
    • Monitor compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Accounting Interpretations
    • Manage, review and process journal entries, accruals and intergroup service charges
    • Preparation and review of trial balance and general ledger reconciliations
    • Executes the period end close process
    • Participates in governance related activities including governance reviews and internal and external audits
    • Interfaces with External Auditors and prepares documentation for auditors to use
    • Reporting
    • Prepare Half year and Year end statutory reporting including external briefing paper submissions and governance reviews
    • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with applicable financial reporting standards
    • Prepare internal and external financial reporting including RAC, Board, JV and Third-Party reporting
    • Prepare general statistical and statutory reporting e.g. SARB & DMR statistical submissions
    • Preparation of monthly reports

    Requirements:

    • Degree / National Diploma in Finance
    • 5 – 7 years’ post qualification experience in financial and/or management accounting
    • Competent in International Financial Reporting Standards
    • Proficiency in the use of SAP; MS Office Suite
    • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness
    • Valid drivers license

    Electrician UG, C3, NDC074/25GS

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Is responsible for safe maintenance and repair of equipment and machines in order to ensure the availability and reliability thereof
    • Is responsible for engineering technical compliance
    • Perform inspections and work in accordance with the Mine Standards and Procedures and the Mine Health and Safety Act and regulations
    • Recording of inspections, maintenance and repairs conducted to equipment on checklists and job cards
    • Be able to identify faults and repair defects without supervision
    • Maintain good housekeeping in the area of responsibility
    • Ensuring that all planning and productivity requirements are safely achieved
    • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to perform in a safe and controlled manner
    • Must be prepared to work shifts, overtime and standby duties

    Requirements:

    • Recognized Electrical Trade Test Certificate

    Internal Candidates

    • Grade 12 with Math (Not Literacy) & Science, minimum E symbol with relevant two N2 Trade related subjects as per MQA guideline or N2 with four relevant trade related subjects as per MQA guideline. N2 trade related subjects will be advantageous.

    External Candidates

    • Grade 12 with Math (Not Literacy) & Science, minimum E symbol with four N2 relevant trade related subjects as per MQA guideline
    • Have sound knowledge of MHSA, safety systems and a high regard for safety, regulations and standards

    Business Planning Analyst, D1, NVC051/25GS

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Analyse the monthly spend against the approved capital plan for the mine, identifying trends, investigate variances, and identifying and clearly articulate risks and opportunities
    • Assist in developing long term plans for the mine incorporating mine and processing, functional and infrastructure plans
    • Continuously track and report operational financial performance
    • Documents the project justification and the mine’s KPI’s on behalf of the sponsor and evaluates proposed projects
    • Identify and develop cost-effective processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost drivers
    • Integration of the short-term plan for the mine and how they compare to one another e.g., this role will perform the analysis of the various costs and product impacts and thereafter suggest amendments to the plan for value optimization
    • Interface with operational business units and functional leads on project work, Resource and Development Plans and Life of Mine (LoM) Plans and give inputs into the mine model, working closely with financial controller for the preparation and running of operational cost models though cost accounting methods and models
    • Develop and maintain a Xeras costing model for the oprating incorporating the operation specific inputs and way of operating
    • Make use of Xeras to calculate the budget and LOM from a zero-base and consolidate the full budget with the calculated values and fixed cost inputs
    • Perform analysis to ensure that all commercial decisions consider value (cost, margin, EBIT, FCF), risk, cost and opportunity
    • Perform financial analysis including variance, scenario, and option analysis
    • Preparing and delivering presentations, reports, and submissions in an objective, comprehensive, and balanced form to a wide range of stakeholders
    • Responsible to review and collate all capital inputs in terms of the planning cycles for assigned area of responsibility and submit for mine consolidation
    • Track and report cost and productivity initiatives

    Requirements:

    • Degree/ National Diploma in Business / Commerce / Finance or Engineering
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field of which 1 year in a supervisor position.
    • Understanding of ERP systems, budgeting, forecasting
    • Understanding of cost planning principles; first principles, variable cost, fixed cost, etc
    • Experience in Process Cost reporting and planning
    • Relevant influencing, networking, planning, organising, and problem-solving skills
    • Good analytical skills
    • Advanced MS Office Excel & PowerPoint
    • Excellent computer literacy skills (MS Office)
    • SAP experience
    • Valid driver’s license
    • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

    Advantageous:

    • Mining industry experience preferred
    • XERAS - Mining Software
