Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Technical Manager Enterprise Applications and will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

• Ensure quality and integrity of documentation.
• Ensure all IT staff and service desk staff are trained on systems.
• Provide input into application design to meet business requirements (i.e. Reach, range, capacity, redundancy, reliability)
• Participate in root cause analysis and problem management, working in conjunction with the Problem and Configuration Manager.
• Ensure addition, update, modification or removal of any IT application in a standard and controlled manner
• Execute processes and procedures.
• Submit reports within required timeframe.
• Identify and assess operational risks and ensure plans are developed to minimise potential threats
• Provide technical / professional support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure achievement of functional and organisational objectives.
• Ensure synergy between the functional and technical teams. 
• Ensure that all software license agreements/contracts are valid and in line with current utilization levels 
• Provide input into the budgeting process to ensure that additional software license capacity is planned for as required.
• Ensure that the team is adequately resourced and adequately skilled to perform their duties
• Assign teamwork responsibilities and ensure distribution of work

 Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

• Bachelor’s degree (3 years - 360 credits) in Information Technology / Computer Science / Informatics is essential
• 6-8 years operational experience in Information Technology is essential.
• 4-6 years operational experience in Oracle e-Business Suite, IBM Websphere and Microsoft SharePoint and .Net is recommended. 
• ITIL Intermediate and 2 or more certifications related to this is required.

Key Performance Outputs

The successful candidate, reporting to the Manager Fire and Rescue will be responsible for the following:

• Ensure compliance to legislative requirements (CAA - Civil Aviation Authority; ICAO - International Civil Aviation Organization and Municipal by laws).
• Ensure the buildings comply with legislation, signage, escape routes, fire extinguishers, hose reels; as per SANS - South African National Standards.
• Analysis of current systems and implementation thereof where required.
• Ensure regular site visits and inspections with staff.  
• Conduct training on fire prevention.
• Develop and maintain a fire prevention plan.
• Develop and implement a stakeholder auditing system.
• Conduct SANS audits and building evacuations.
• Ensure that all fire equipment is serviceable.
• Produce monthly reports on Fire Prevention status. 
• Build, support and maintain healthy diverse internal and external relationships.
• Maintain appropriate levels of interaction with airport stakeholders.
• Provide fire prevention awareness to CIA users 
• Work closely with Aviation Safety and Infrastructure asset management to ensure that insurance cover and that risk are mitigated. 

Technical Skills and Experience

The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required: 

• The successful candidate must have a valid Matric (Grade 12) qualification 
• Relevant Diploma or equivalent, based on the job requirements within the position. 
• A code EC driver’s licence with driving experience is essential.
• Detailed knowledge of Airside, Landside and Terminal Operations.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation, statutory requirements and Standard operating procedures.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Fire and Rescue is essential.
• Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
