    Senior Specialist: Paid Social Media

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Take full end-to-end responsibility of paid social media performance advertising, with a clear focus on performance-based, sales-driving reach and targeting activities via social media advertising platforms
    • Lead social and other biddable media advertising activities, including campaign and targeting strategies, KPIs and targets
    • Continuously monitor performance and identify and analyse deviating patterns to generate insights for optimisation
    • Constantly improve social media technology stack; connect to Vodafone CRM, DMP and other data pools, ensure stable tracking 
    • Drive breakthrough digital marketing innovation 

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric and 3-year Business related Degree or National Diploma essential
    • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience

    Minimum of 5 to 8 years relevant experience essential in:

    • Digital media and channels
    • Driving commercial & operational targets for the digital media domain – sales, revenue, profitability, adoption of the products and services
    • Detailed understanding of paid social advertising based on hands-on experience of managing campaigns through paid social media platforms
    • Experience in managing digital media for large consumer-facing brands

    Executive Head: Group Products and Platforms

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Long-term product vision & regional collaboration:

    • Co-create a 3-5 year product vision and work closely with operating companies in various regions to align and execute this vision, ensuring tailored strategies based on unique local needs, while still maintaining a shared group vision.

    Building value cases:

    • Each market has many priorities, and helping them develop compelling business and value cases for product & platform deployment will happen often. There are often missing skills gaps and the candidate should not be afraid of rolling up their sleeves to get the job done. 

    Technological leadership & mastery:

    • Stay updated on mobile & fixed technology evolution (like FWA and LEO satellite), and ensure the integration of cloud solutions, cybersecurity, software defined networking, IoT and managed services into the product roadmap in a value enhancing way to the operating companies. 

    Stakeholder management & team leadership:

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric – Essential 
    • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields - Essential
    • An MBA or other master’s level post-graduate studies – Advantageous 
    • A minimum of 8-10 years proven track record in Telecommunications, ICT or product management with a minimum of 5 year’s management/supervisory experience - Essential

    Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

    • Thorough understanding of new product development methodologies, processes and best practices, including but not limited to product lifecycle management and the ability to develop value cases to support the product development roadmap in multiple territories. 
    • Good understanding of fundamentals of product propositions including but not limited to demand creation, segmentation, market mix, positioning, targeting and customer value management 
    • Have good general management capabilities with high proficiency in PPT, word and excel, and experience leading high-impact teams. 
    • Good understanding of our key products, and those of the hyperscalers and adjacent digital technology companies

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Lead paid media campaign planning, including account and keyword strategies, KPIs and targets
    • Effective analysis and use of data in driving targeted campaigns, contributing to the overall digital marketing and sales targets
    • Be the key responsible and single point of contact for all Google Ads topics to both Vodacom colleagues and external partners

    Product Owner: Vodapay

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Product Owner plays a crucial role in the product development process, particularly within Agile and Scrum frameworks. Their primary purpose is to maximize the value of the product resulting from the work of the development team
    • Setting the Product Vision: They define and communicate the product vision and goals to ensure the team understands the direction and purpose of their work
    • Managing the Product Backlog: This includes creating, prioritizing, and maintaining the product backlog items to ensure the most valuable features are developed first
    • Stakeholder Management: They act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, gathering requirements, and ensuring that stakeholder needs are met while aligning with the product vision

    Reporting and Analytics

    • Performance Monitoring: Define key metrics to track product performance and success, analysing data to make data-driven decisions and adjustments.

    The Ideal Candidate for this role will have:

    Must have technical / professional qualifications: 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or anotherr related field
    • A total of eight or more years' experience of which at least 5 or more years are in the successful delivery in Product Ownership (or equivalent role) across full product lifecycles, from MVP to marketable products in iterations, including support transition
    • Experience in successfully Leading and mentoring agile / DevOps teams in Large multi-team environments
    • Experience in agile methodologies, such as Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), Test Driven Design and Behavioural Driven Design
    • Experience in successful delivery against financial / resource constraints
    • Experience in the use of analytics and AB / multivariate testing
    • Experience with requirements definition and use case modelling
    • Professional experience and knowledge of the Telecommunications & Mobile Money and Value Added Services industry is strongly preferred
