    Description

    • An opportunity is available for a Hospital Manager, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting the needs of the internal and external customers through the execution of the Hospital’s business strategy and operational objectives in growth, quality & people by leading, managing and coordinating all hospital activities.

    Critical Outputs

    Ensuring effective people management by:

    Requirements

    • Relevant business or healthcare degree essential.

    • Exposure to specialised medical services i.e. Cardiology and Cardiothoracic
    • Basic understanding of or the ability to learn specialization fields, terminology and medical equipment.

    Lecturer (Short Learning Programme in Critical Care Nursing – Fixed Term Contract) – AHC Nursing College

    Description

    • A vacancy exists for a Lecturer (Short Learning Programme in Critical Care Nursing) reporting to the AHC Principal. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs that prepare nursing students and professionals for clinical practice.

    Critical Outputs

    Theory:

    • Compiling of lesson plans
    • Facilitating virtual contact sessions for students and preceptors
    • Setting tests, assignments, workbooks, and examinations (according to Bloom's taxonomy)
    • Marking and moderating of tests and exams

    Clinical teaching:

    • Minimum of 3 (three) years appropriate/recognised nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse
    • At least a period of 3 (three) years of appropriate experience in Nursing Education after obtaining a post-basic qualification (Critical Care Nurse)
    • Proof of registration with SANC for Assessor and Moderator
    • BLS instructor certificate is an advantage
    • A valid driver’s license
    • Experience in mentoring a specific group of students
    • Knowledge of all relevant legislation pertaining to the management of a Nursing Education Institution
