About this role

• The Technology Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering technology projects across and its associated brands. The role manages the end-to-end delivery of software development, systems implementation, process automation, digital transformation and operational technology initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and aligned to business objectives. The Technology Project Manager serves as the primary link between business stakeholders, Technology & Innovation, IT Operations, vendors and project teams. The role is responsible for driving project governance, managing risks and dependencies, coordinating resources, facilitating stakeholder engagement and ensuring solutions are successfully adopted by the business.

Main Responsibilities:

• Project Delivery  Lead multiple concurrent technology projects from initiation through to closure  Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, RAID logs, communication plans and status reports  Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria  Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that may aAect delivery  Ensure projects follow approved PMO standards, methodologies and governance requirements  Facilitate project steering committees, workshops, stand-ups and stakeholder meetings  Track project budgets, timelines and resource allocations Technology & Software Projects  Manage software development and system implementation projects  Coordinate activities between developers, business analysts, testers, infrastructure teams and vendors  Support Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery approaches depending on project requirements  Ensure business requirements are translated into clear project deliverables  Coordinate testing activities including SIT, UAT and production readiness assessments  Facilitate solution deployment and transition into operational support Stakeholder Management  Build strong relationships with department heads, project sponsors and subject matter experts  Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, timelines, risks and dependencies  Present project updates to management committees, sponsors and governance forums  Facilitate resolution of project conflicts and competing priorities Project Governance & PMO Support  Ensure compliance with project governance requirements and reporting standards  Support the Technology & Projects Council process from intake through delivery  Maintain project documentation, approvals and audit trails  Escalate risks, issues and change requests appropriately  Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes, templates and standards Vendor & Third-Party Management  Coordinate external service providers, implementation partners and software vendors  Monitor delivery against agreed scope, milestones and contractual obligations  Support commercial discussions, statements of work and project-related procurement activities  Manage vendor performance and escalation where required Change Management & Adoption  Coordinate business readiness activities  Support communication, training and stakeholder engagement plans  Ensure operational teams are prepared for new systems and processes  Facilitate project handovers into business operations and support teams Reporting & Analytics  Produce accurate project reports, dashboards and executive summaries  Maintain project data within Microsoft 365 and approved PMO systems  Track project benefits, milestones and delivery metrics  Provide visibility of resource utilisation, risks and delivery status

Summary: Purpose of the role

• The Data Modelling Specialist designs, maintains and optimises the firm's data models so that analytics, reporting and integration are reliable, scalable and fast. Models must follow the firm's architecture, governance standards and business needs.

Main Responsibilities: What you will be responsible for

• Data model design  Design logical and physical models using Kimball star schema and medallion architecture  Build and maintain enterprise canonical models and reusable data artefacts  Optimise models for performance and for use in BI tools such as Power BI  Standards, governance and data quality  Apply naming, metadata, security and governance standards across all models  Keep a central, version-controlled model repository  Work with data quality teams and run impact analysis on model changes Documentation and stakeholders  Maintain data dictionaries, ERDs and metadata  Translate business requirements into models and validate them in workshops  Train legal and business users on how the models work Technical collaboration and improvement  Partner with data engineers on the pipelines that populate the models  Guide analytics developers and report writers on using the models well  Recommend modelling tools, techniques and patterns, and contribute to the analytics roadmap

Qualification & Experience: What you will need 

• 4-year degree (NQF 7) in IT, Computer Science or Engineering  Up to 6 years' experience in data warehousing and data analysis  Strong dimensional modelling (Kimball), star schema and 3NF design  Experience with medallion architecture and warehouse or lakehouse design  ETL and ELT concepts and SQL optimisation Skills that will help  Cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Databricks or BigQuery  Power BI-ready model design  Metadata management, data governance and data quality  GDPR and POPIA awareness  JIRA or similar project tools

The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, the PMO, Technology & Innovation, technical teams and vendors, ensuring that the underlying problem is properly understood before a solution is designed or selected. The role will facilitate discovery sessions, document current and future-state processes, prepare business and functional requirements, perform gap and impact analysis, support solution evaluation, and maintain traceability from the original business need through design, testing and implementation. The Business Analyst will also support project planning, stakeholder coordination, user acceptance testing and change readiness where required.
