    Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (Licensed)

    Requirements:

    • SACAA licensed
    • Trade test Certificate
    • Licensed on B1900 and/or DH8 100/300/Q400 and/or CRJ 100/200/700/900 highly advantageous
    • Previous experience working as an AME on above types highly advantageous
    • Valid South-African passport holder
    • Sound understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation
    • Good knowledge and understanding of computers
    • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and on public holidays, and overtime as required from time to time
    • Must be available and willing to travel at short notice, both locally and internationally, for periods up to 3 months
    • Detailed and able to work under pressure
    • Excellent trouble shooting and problem-solving abilities
    • Able to make decisions
    • Able to follow instructions
    • Proactive self-starter capable to function on his/her own without any supervision

    Flight Deck Crew – DH8 / CRJ / B1900

    CemAir (Pty) Ltd, is a vibrant and dynamic South African airline based at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, is seeking to employ Flight Deck Crew on all fleets:
    CAPTAINS

    • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • Valid SACAA ATP license and medical
    • Minimum Total Time 2 500 hours
    • Minimum 750 hours PIC
    • Minimum 300 hours Jet PIC in Part 121 operations
    • Contract / ACMI experience will be an advantage
    • Valid passport
    • Must have an RNP-APCH Endorsement by commencement of employment
    • Must be willing to sign a Workback Agreement
    • Must be willing to undertake contract flying worldwide for 6 – 8 week periods in addition to scheduled flying in South Africa and regionally

    FIRST OFFICERS

    • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • Valid SACAA ATP license and medical

    • Jet experience in Part 121 operations will be an advantage
    • Contract / ACMI experience will be an advantage

    Responsible Person: Security

    • CemAir (Pty) Ltd, a South African Part 121 / 135 airline based at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg, seeks to employ a dynamic, results-driven Responsible Person: Security.

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Develop and promulgate company-wide security standards and practices
    • Ensure the continuing effectiveness of the aircraft operator security program through regular evaluations and inspections, and by encouraging internal security audit processes (i.e. the implementation of quality control functions)
    • Develop and modify the aircraft operator security program to correct deficiencies and to comply with national requirements and provisions of States where the aircraft operator conducts flight operations
    • Advise on and manage all security systems in use by the aircraft operator, and advise management on all aspects of security
    • Initiate special security measures during periods of increased risk and/or for critical flights and routes
    • Conduct an initial and comprehensive survey of the aircraft operator’s facilities, equipment, and activities to determine security needs and assess likely threats
    • Define the overall security policy for acceptance by senior management
    • Ensure the aircraft operator security program is current and has been endorsed by senior management.
    • Maintain close relationships with other departments within CemAir, and especially senior management, to facilitate the implementation of effective security measures throughout the organization inclusive of airport level Management and staff
    • Maintain familiarity with applicable legislation and regulations related to aviation security
    • Promote security awareness and vigilance;
    • Ensure an effective response by the company to any threat or security incident;
    • Report all actual or suspected acts of unlawful interference with aircraft operations to the appropriate authority for aviation security

    SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • Clear criminal record.
    • Professional security background.
    • In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety protocols.
    • Familiarity with aircraft and commercial air transport operations.
    • No breach or contravention of any security measures in the aviation environment in the past 3 years.
    • Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills.
    • Willingness to travel as required
