    Payroll Manager

    Job Overview

    • A leading organization within the Chemical industry is currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join their dynamic team.

    Requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12.
    • B Degree in Finance or Payroll Administration or NQF equivalent.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in Payroll Administration
    • 5 years is in a managerial capacity managing multiple payrolls across a group
    • SAP Payroll experience non negotiable

    Responsibilities:

    • Payroll Processing Management:
    • Develop, review and maintain payroll administration processes and procedures
    • Document new procedures and guidelines for the payroll system
    • Monitor compliance to payroll administration procedures and guidelines
    • Review and quality assure changes/variations within the payroll system and review engagements, terminations and documentation in relation to employee changes on the system
    • Perform a high-level review of payroll administration data for errors, omissions and inconsistencies for data integrity
    • Receive and check pay-period reports prior to uploading EFT files to the banks and act as the final internal control before the files are released
    • Upload EFT files to banks for pay groups as needed
    • Review payroll account reconciliations
    • Ensure that payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner
    • Lead the implementation of payroll in accordance with substantive or collective agreements with organised labour
    • Handle and execute employee leave liability provisions
    • Monitor the allocation of emails, calls and voicemails to an assigned Payroll Administrator to action, and monitor the quality of service provided by team members
    • Review monthly payroll reports prior to submission to the HC Business Partners of operating entities
    • Lead payroll process optimisation, enhancement, efficiency and continuous improvement
    • Develop, maintain and safeguard payroll filing and retrieval systems, including both digital and hard-copy
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on the performance of the department
    • Drive the continuous improvement of Payroll Processing within the Shared Services Centre
    • Payroll Administration Support to the Business
    • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships with functional heads across all operating entities
    • Maintain sound working relationships with the Business Partners and Administration Manager
    • Manage the timeous resolution of payroll queries by attending to escalated queries and reviewing unresolved queries on a daily basis
    • Liaise with Compensation and Benefits on matters pertaining to medical aid and pension/provident funds and participate in workshops aimed at communicating benefit options and updates to staff members, as and when required
    • Provide input into the creation of appropriate reports on metrics, in consultation with the Reporting Administrator
    • Manage the provision of support to deliver on calendar events, for ad hoc or unscheduled projects for Shared Services
    • Liaise with auditors during audits to respond to queries and provide information

    Chief Financial Officer

    Overview

    A Leading JSE listed Property Investment Company is looking for a CFO to join their dynamic team. The right incumbent should be experienced with Hedging, Debt Management, Interest rate negotiations and reporting.

    Requirements:

    • CA(SA)
    • 8 Years Post Article experience
    • JSE AND SENS Reporting experience
    • Treasury negotiation and Debt Management
    • Liaising with the Banks regarding "Interest rate swaps"
    •  IFRS

    Duties:

    • Work with senior managers to grow the businesses formulating strategies and plans
    • Lead and develop finance teams with effective performance appraisals
    • Full reporting for the Group in terms of IFRS and JSE for monthly, interims and annual submissions including variance analysis and budgeting (forecasting) in addition to local statutory accounts
    • Responsible for managing the treasury department with property managers to manage incoming and outgoing funds on a weekly basis, foreign currency transactions & conversions and cost control, working capital management and allocation of excess funds
    • Responsible for all compliance and regulatory issues including dealing with external and internal auditors, JSE sponsors, SARS, secretarial matters, etc
    • Manage SENS announcements and JSE requirements
    • Responsible for managing and implementing an effective control environment incorporating general controls, financial controls and corporate governance practices taking into account risks of the business and opportunities available
