Head of Faculty: Education

• To promote overall academic integrity and ensure compliance with legislation to programmes offered by Institution as an accredited Institution of Higher Learning

 
Educational Requirements:

• Masters degree in Cognate/ Foundation Phase/ Education or similar field
• Experience with Foundation phase and Grade R
• Previous experience in a management role
• Tech savvy
• Previous experience with distance learning with be beneficial

 
Duties and responsibilities

• Liaising with external institutions
• Ensure implementation, maintenance and evaluation of prescribed systems, policies and procedures
• Arrange and chair prescribe advisory committee meetings
• Assist Dean with finalisation of programmes
• Marketing of assignments and exam papers
• Moderating of assignments and exam scripts
• Ensure implementation and compliance
• Consultant with external industry stakeholders to promote programmes
• Coordinate programme development and review
• Implement and manage relevant faculty budget
• Coordinate staff development and training
• Develop and maintain student support

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements:

• Module and curriculum design
• Conduct contact sessions
• Student support and liaising with students
• Quality control
• Conduct research and improve knowledge in own field of expertise
• WIL knowledge and background would be an advantage
