Job Description

• The Claims department requires an intern to support and assist in Motor Assessing team with day-to-day activities. We are seeking a motivated detailed orientated individual to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands on experience in the Motor Assessing field. The ideal candidates must have a passion for people and delivering awesome service in a deadline orientated environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with Finance Houses/Banks in order to obtain NATIS documents
• Process NATIS documents before handing it over to SP
• Process salvage payment once received
• Arrange collection of  salvage with auctioneers
• Load SP stock numbers
• Handle salvage related queries
• Liaise with service providers, advisors, investigators, clients and Finance Houses in regards to outstanding NATIS documents
• Handle and resolve queries from clients and service providers
• Validate, investigate and finalise salvage claims within set targets
• Processing of received NATIS documents.
• Payment of salvage claims and the updating of all records
• Finalise all administration regarding salvage claims
• Conduct all the above to the required performance and quality standards that are in place.

SEO Strategy & Technical Execution

• Conduct keyword and intent research, including AI-generated queries and semantic search trends.
• Perform technical SEO audits and implement on-page improvements (e.g., metadata, internal linking, page speed).
• Optimize content for traditional search engines and AI-powered tools (e.g., Google SGE, Bing Copilot, ChatGPT).
• Implement structured data and schema markup to enhance discoverability.
• Monitor and resolve crawl errors, broken links, and indexing issues.
• Collaborate with developers to implement technical SEO and UX best practices.

Content Marketing & Website Management

• Develop and execute content strategies aligned with SEO and AI content consumption trends.
• Create and optimize content for clarity, structure, and AI summarization (e.g., voice search, featured snippets).
• Perform regular website updates using CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Sitecore).
• Collaborate with content creators and designers to ensure SEO best practices and user experience.
• Promote content across digital channels and analyze performance using analytics tools.

Backlink Outreach & Authority Building

• Develop and execute backlink acquisition strategies.
• Identify and engage with relevant websites, blogs, and influencers.
• Track and report on backlink performance and domain authority improvements.

AI & Search Innovation

• Stay current with developments in AI search (e.g., Google SGE, AI Overviews).
• Experiment with prompt engineering and AI content tools to enhance productivity.
• Educate internal teams on AI-friendly content practices and evolving search behaviors.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Use tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog to track performance.
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Provide actionable insights based on data analysis to inform strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SEO and content marketing.
• Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
• Strong writing and editing skills with an understanding of content structure and clarity.
• Experience with CMS platforms and technical SEO implementation.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization).
• Awareness of how AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude) influence content discovery.

Preferred

• Google Analytics or SEO certification.

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands on experience in the Buildings Assessing field. The ideal candidates must have a passion for people and delivering awesome service in a deadline orientated environment.
• The internship is a structured work-based program, affording unemployed graduates work experience in our company. The successful applicants will enter into a 12-month fixed term Internship agreement with the company and receive a stipend.

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 is a minimum requirement
• NQF4 in Civil Engineering, Building Science or relevant qualifications
