    Quality Process Operator

    • The key purpose of this role is to carry out all the required quality checks in his/her designated area, meeting the prescribed frequency and outputs as per ABInBev quality and process standards. Supports shift operations by ensuring front line problem solving for out-of-control processes and executing maintenance tasks such as cleaning and autonomous operations

    Key Roles and responsibilities: 

    • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others in his / her designated area
    • Responsible for Machine safe practices, PTW, LOTO and SAM
    • Accountable for all quality process checks to be done as per prescribed frequency
    • Responsible for quality packaged product within designated work area
    • Ensure Problem solving for all out-of-control processes
    • Required to escalate Out of control processes to Team Leader or Process Artisan
    • Verify compliance with daily routines as per Agenda of Routine Execute Daily schedule: Production, changeovers, cleaning and lubrication, autonomous maintenance inspections and fixes
    • Operate equipment according to SOP's Owner of the performance of the assigned equipment, including input and output, Process indicators, uptime and Quality at source Train on and check the execution of standards by the operation Escalate Major issues to the Team Leader or Process Artisan
    • Ensure quality results are captured and loaded for each shift
    • Ensure QFR and 5why are done timeously
    • Manage personal development plan

    Minimum Requirements: 

    Matric Training:

    • ABINBev Learnership or Artisan Training
    • At least 1-3 years factory production experience
    • Demonstrated experience in shift production
    • A superior performance track record indicating a disciplined work ethic with passion for problem solving and continuous improvement

    BDR 3

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to work towards achieving growth in volumes sold; growth in market share and competitiveness through providing market driven differentiated service that builds sustainable competitiveness within clearly identified segments.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Achieve sales targets for assigned areas
    • Manage and supervise distributors of assigned sector (orders, payment, re-distribution)
    • Ensure IB products are available in reasonable stock (complete range) in customers and retail outlets
    • Ensure merchandising (visibility of the brand in terms of POS and Chillers) in the customers and retail outlets
    • Ensure chillers are properly placed in the performing outlet and used exclusively for IBPLC products in the assigned sector
    • Monitor the recommended price of our product at sales outlets
    • Closely monitor actions of the competitor

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3-year degree qualification
    • At least 2 years' experience in a sales/marketing/FMCG environment
    • Valid unendorsed Code 8 drivers' license
    • Basic computer literacy and experience working with Microsoft office
    • Local area knowledge is a requirement
    • Excellent administration skills

    Packaging Artisan

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost without sacrificing standards.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain a safe, healthy, risk free working environment at all times by abiding to all rules and regulations of the safety policies
    • Perform maintenance and operation on various machines while ensuring that the machine is safe before maintenance tasks are carried out
    • Maintain and repair plant & associated devices at minimum cost while maintaining highest quality standards
    • Optimise and improve plant, process equipment & systems in case of Mechanical
    • Need to ensure that all tasks performed meets the requirements of South African Bureau of Standards Act 1945
    • Ensure that maintenance tasks are completed to the standard work instructions set out by ABInBev
    • Standby duty required as per roster set out with minimum disruptions

    Key Competencies and Attributes:

    • Ability to solve problems on FMCG machines
    • Ability to communicate technical knowledge to operation staff improving their skills sets
    • Ability to train, coach and mentor operation staff on ATO and 5’s principles
    • Ability to optimise usages and reduce wastage with permanent solutions

    Interpersonal Skills

    • Work in Teams and Collaborate
    • Ability to work no supervision (strong self-management practices)
    • Ability to problem solve using basic problem solving tools (5 why; fishbone)
    • Ability to reduce machine downtime to minimum while ensuring the all problems have permanent solutions
    • Ability to analyse various graphical data and open gaps to improve performance
    • Ability to identify non-standard work and tag the defects
    • Ability to work out spares requirements for machines and request via the sap system

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Minimum N4 Technical qualification or higher
    • Trade test qualification in Mechanical/Millwright
    • Experience in packaging would be advantageous.
    • Summative assessment in current role would be advantageous
    • 2 year’s post trade test experience would be advantageous
    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Basic operations of electronic communication devices

    Brewing Operator

    • The key purpose of this role is the safe operation of one or more discrete processes in the Brewing & Utilities plant (e.g. Wort Cooling, Yeast Management, Filtration Q&C), the execution of maintenance tasks, quality control checks and analyses, and the coaching of fellow team members to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost.

    Key outputs and responsibilities: 

    Plant and Process 

    • Optimize Plant & Process Performance where appropriate
    • Operate the Brew house Plant and Process
    • Operate Beverage Fermentation Plant and Process
    • Operate Beverage Filtration Plant and Process
    • Performing housekeeping tasks, applying 5s principles and following safe work practices
    • Unsafe work practices must be identified and corrected.

    Quality control and analysis 

    • Carry out the required quality +checks and analyses, and recording the results on the appropriate information system
    • Where quality problems have arisen, apply the appropriate problem-solving techniques (e.g. Quick fix routines) to resolve
    • Escalate any identified or unresolved problems to BAM

    Communication 

    • Actively participate in meetings and goal reviews
    • Utilise the gap list to record issues, problems and improvement opportunities
    • Fully understanding the team goals and participating in team goal review sessions
    • Making use of relevant communication media (e.g. shift logbook) to stay informed and inform others of issues
    • Complete required hand over to incoming shift team members, ensuring the issues relating to plant performance, quality
    • Complete autonomous maintenance tasks problem-solving activities

    Problem solving 

    • Respond rapidly to upstream or downstream triggers that could result in out-of-control process situations
    • Apply problem solving techniques (e.g. 5Y, quick fix routines etc.) to identify and correct problems

    • Develop others in own skills as well as the learning of the skills of other specialist Brewery Technicians
    • Be a logical, analytical problem solver who can operate in an unstructured environment

    Utilities Artisan

    • The Key Purpose of this role is to provide engineering support to the maintenance function through the repairing, replacing or manufacturing of parts for plant, machines and equipment in manufacturing.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Comply with VPO safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and legislation. 
    • Maintain safety and housekeeping standards
    • locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation and or systems. 
    • Plan and prepare the job.
    • Carry out repairs / maintenance. 
    • Operate workshop equipment.

    • N6/Diploma Mechanical
    • Trade tested Mechanical Fitter and Turner
    • 2 year’s post trade test experience would be advantageous
    • Knowledge of the brewery utilities (Boilers/Compressors/Effluent) plant would be advantageous
    • Contractor management skills.
    • Problem Solving skills e.g. 5Why, AB reports, closing out CR 360.

    Category Manager: Capex

    • The key purpose of this role is to support development of category strategies within the Indirect procurement categories, which are under the control of the Regional Procurement office. They will then be responsible for the successful execution of these strategies on a zone and where necessary country basis. They will also provide Regional support for categories managed centrally by the Global Procurement Office (GPO). 

    Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

    Support Sourcing Strategy Development 

    • Collate all necessary zone analytics related to the category/ies 
    • Analyse spend and user specific requirements 
    • Conduct market research to assess zone dynamics related to the category/ies Keep up to date on market / industry related matters for the category and what would impact production and delivery lead times

    Support Sourcing Strategy Execution 

    • Ensure readiness across both zone and country for strategy execution

    • Collaborate with supplier and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation of category sourcing outputs / agreements with the Implementation Manager 
    • Ensure suppliers are correctly enabled through PSS 
    • Ensure contractual terms & conditions are effectively “operationalized” within business 

    Key Attributes and Competencies: 

    • Good knowledge, understanding and use of Microsoft Office tools 
    • Good analytics skills 
    • Presentation skills 
    • Sound knowledge of procurement systems like Ariba and use of eAuction 
    • Knowledge of SAP an advantage 

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Bachelors degree, preferably in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Logistics or Purchasing 
    • 3 years procurement experience in CAPEX or MRO (Maintenance) category management role
    • Knowledge on packaging, utilities, brewing equipment is an advantage
    • Knowledge on commercial category is an advantage (fridges, draught & glassware)  
    • CIPS or equivalent Purchasing Professional accreditation 
    • Pan African / Regional or Global category management experience 
    • Sound knowledge and understanding of procurement strategic sourcing methodology 
    • In depth understanding of manufacturing production systems 
    • Must be willing to travel into Africa occasionally
