Introduction

• Murray & Roberts Cementation invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of Shaft Rigger to be placed in Venetia Mine, near Musina. The successful candidate will report to the Lead Mechanic. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

•        Engineering installations are constructed according to agreed standards, procedures and specifications
•        Lifting Equipments inspections, updated issue registers etc. and LMI inspections schedule.
•        Engineering equipment is maintained according to agreed standards and schedules
•        Engineering equipment is repaired according to agreed standards and schedules
•        Compliance with SHEQ, M&RC and client standards, policies, procedures and safety protocols
•        Cost containment, high mean time to failure after repairs
•        Effective stakeholder engagement
•        Competent, motivated, disciplined and positive team
•        Effective self and team supervision in alignment with MRC values and leadership initiatives

Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

•        Grade 12 or equivalent (NQF4)
•        Section 26 Rigger Ropesman Trade Certificate / MIETTB Trade Certificate through a registered body, eg.
  •     Olifantsfontein, pre 1994
  •    ESTC (Engineering Skills Training Centre) James park
  •    GFA (Goldfields training Academy)
•        Valid Code EB driver's licence
•        Good communication skills in English
•        Able to solve problems within agreed standards, policies and procedures
•        Able to make decisions within agreed parameters
•        Job planning skills

 
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

•        10 year's mining industry experience underground and surface (Preferably Shaft Sinking)
•        10 year's trade experience as a rigger / ropesman
•        Advance knowledge of maintenance installations and replacements including attachements
•        Advanced knowledge of heavy lifting requirements
•        Advance knowledge of Winders ropes inspections,maintanence and legals.

The successful candidate will report to the Warehouse Manager. The company will provide remuneration and benefits relevant and appropriate to the position. Job description
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

•        Lead and supervise a team of Store Administrators and Warehouse Pickers
•        Provide effective administrative support
•        Receive and issue spares for underground and surface equipment
•        Daily processing of outbound sales transactions
•        Administer the JDE system
•        Manage open order reports
•        Maintain inventory levels with regard to min & max levels and replenishment of stock
•        Generate accurate reports, analyse reports and action discrepancies
•        Prepare stock reconciliation reports e.g. manage diesel receipt and issue records
•        Monitor monthly cycle counts
•        Verify quantity and quality of goods
•        Maintain safe housekeeping practices to ensure safety standards
•        Effective team and self-management in alignment with M&RC’s values
   

Minimum requirements
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

•        Grade 12 with Mathematics
•        Supply Chain Management Diploma at NQF level 6
•        MS Office proficient
•        Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail
•        Good communication skills in English

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

•        At least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
•        Experience supervising a team of Store Administrators and Warehouse Pickers
•        Working experience on JDE or similar ERP system
•        Experience generating and analysing reports
•        Knowledge of inbound and outbound principles
•        Knowledge of supply chain policies and procedures
