Purpose of Position:

• To prepare and analyse specimens in the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 with English, Biology (Life Sciences) and Mathematics, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field

Required Experience:

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain laboratory in order to ensure a clean and safe work environment, Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath, Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory,
• Perform special laboratory procedures in order to ensure timeous resulting of specimens, Receive and process specimens in order to ensure effective and efficient specimen flow in the laboratory

Purpose of Position:

• To learn how to process specimens according to set criteria and standards on all benches in the Genetics Laboratory.

Requirements:

• BSc Degree (Hons) in appropriate discipline (Genetics, Human Genetics, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Haematology, Forensic Genetics) (Required)

Required Experience:

• Exposure to a laboratory environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete and submit an appropriate portfolio of evidence to the HPCSA within the required timeframe., Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath., Perform accreditation and Quality Control related tasks to ensure standards are upheld., Receive and process specimens in order to ensure efficient delivery of results.
