    Credit Control (Western Cape)

    Description

    • Grade 12
    • Tertiary Qualification will be advantageous
    • Three years’ experience as a Credit Controller
    • Sound knowledge and experience relating to debtors’ administration and credit control in the private healthcare environment
    • Dynamic person with interpersonal skills, strong influencing, and communication skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Excellent computer skills

    • Understanding of prescribed minimum benefits (PMB) process

    Requirements

    • Recover outstanding debt from the medical aid schemes, insurers, patients, members, and guarantors.
    • Effectively manage the outstanding debt to prevent bad debt write offs and stale claims.
    • Manage and work through the age analysis on a daily basis.
    • Control outstanding medical aid accounts by processing and submitting all medical aid claims within the required time frame.
    • Accurately record the collection status and relevant collection notes of each account.
    • Prepare documentation of all accounts in connection with their remittances.
    • Capture the remittances and reconcile all claims allocated.
    • Process refund requisitions.
    • Liaise with the medical aid schemes and patients to resolve account queries/shortfalls.
    • Complete daily additional functions accurately.
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures and uphold the image of the company in a professional manner

    Deputy UM Theatre (Western Cape)

    Description

    • Current Registration with SANC
    • Recognised Post Basic Qualification in Theatre Technique
    • At least five years relevant experience as a Scrub Nurse
    • Proof of indemnity cover are pre-requisites

    Group Technical Operations Manager

    Description

    • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
    • Preferably be a member of the Clinical Engineering Association of South Africa (CEASA)
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership position within technical operations in the healthcare sector.
    • Strong leadership and management abilities
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Good problem-solving skills

    Requirements

    • Oversee the technical operations for the Group, ensuring the efficient functioning of infrastructure, equipment, and the optimal performance of technical operations in the interests of patient care, safety and efficiency.
    • Provide leadership support to the various technical teams in line with Melomed’s vision and mission.
    • Collaborate with the relevant stakeholders to identify technical needs, assess requirements, and develop solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Manage the Group’s procurement functions, by delivering on all operational procurement requirements including sourcing, negotiating, and procuring capex equipment at competitive prices.
    • Source suitable suppliers and contractors associated with different skills required for different types of services and projects.
    • Manage supplier meetings and achieve targeted cost savings through negotiation and contract management.
    • Conduct research on products or equipment and maintain expert knowledge of the respective supply markets, competitors, and product / service innovations.
    • Drive improvement projects and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
    • Assist with various technical systems, including medical equipment, HVAC systems, electrical and mechanical services, water generation and reticulation, electrical generators, UPS and supply, gas distribution, and communication systems.
    • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives to manage the annual capex budget, ensure optimal allocation of resources and cost-effective utilization.
    • Prepare relevant reports / information requested and participate in development meeting briefings.
    • Manage risk within areas of responsibility and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and industry standards related to technical operations, equipment maintenance, and safety.
    • Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers, and partner with key stakeholders to ensure improved efficiency and service delivery.
    • Stay up to date with industry best practices and adapt where necessary.
    • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures and protocols that support the hospitals services.

    Registered Nurse - Theatre

    Description

    • Current Registration with SANC as a Registered Nurse
    • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in an Operating Theatre
    • A qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing Science will be an advantage
    • Theatre Scrubbing skill is essential
    • Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, build relationships with Doctors and work in all disciplines
    • Must be flexible to work overtime, do standby duty and do call
