    Chief Sales Officer (Longmeadow)

    Description

    • ACDC Express a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Chief Sales Officer  to join our driven Team, based in Edenvale.

    Purpose of the Role:

    • The purpose of the Chief Sales Officer (CSO) role is to lead and drive the overall sales strategy and performance of the organization. The CSO is responsible for ensuring revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition by developing and executing effective sales strategies. They play a pivotal role in aligning the sales organization with the company's business objectives, building a high-performance sales team, and fostering relationships with key customers and stakeholders. The CSO ensures that the sales department operates efficiently, stays competitive in the market, and delivers measurable results, ultimately contributing to the company's long-term success and profitability.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales Strategy Development & Execution: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve revenue targets, market share growth, and overall business objectives. Align sales goals with the company's vision and market opportunities.
    • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and inspire the sales team, including setting clear goals, providing mentorship, and fostering a performance-driven culture. Ensure that the team is well-equipped with the resources, tools, and training they need to succeed.
    • Revenue Growth: Drive overall revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding into new markets or customer segments.
    • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Oversee the development of accurate sales forecasts, monitor sales performance, and provide regular reports to the CEO and other key stakeholders.
    • Customer Relationship Management: Strengthen and maintain key customer relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty. Actively engage in major negotiations and high-level sales meetings.
    • Market Intelligence & Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use data-driven insights to adjust sales strategies and tactics.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Marketing, Operations, and Product Development, to ensure alignment and execution of cross-functional initiatives that support business growth.
    • Sales Operations & Technology: Oversee the sales operations process, including CRM tools, pipeline management, and sales reporting systems. Ensure that the sales team is using the most effective technologies and methodologies to maximize efficiency.
    • Performance Monitoring: Set and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure individual and team success. Provide constructive feedback and implement corrective actions when necessary.

    Requirements

    • Matric + Electrical Qualifications B. Tech, B.sc
    • Show Tenacity in difficult circumstances
    • Accuracy in execution of tasks
    • Experience 5 years of sales in the electrical environment
    • External Sales experience
    • Experience with South African National Standards
    • Must be able to travel
    • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
    • Available to work from 7.30am each day until 5.00pm and every second Saturday until 1pm

    Additional Skills:

    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
    • Experience with international or multi-market sales strategies is a plus.

    External Sales Representative - Exports (Longmeadow)

    Description

    • ACDC Dynamics a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for an experienced and Dynamic Sales Representative for our Exports Division.
    • We are seeking an energetic and goal-driven Sales Representative to join our team and manage the sales of electrical products for export markets. This individual will be responsible for expanding our customer base internationally, developing new business relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction while achieving sales targets in line with the company’s objectives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Sales & Business Development:

    • Identify and develop new export business opportunities in targeted international markets.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key international clients, distributors, and partners.
    • Promote and sell electrical products (such as wiring, switches, cables, circuit breakers, transformers, etc.) to businesses abroad.
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with international customers.
    • Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the export division.

    Market Research & Analysis:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential markets and understand customer needs.
    • Analyze competitors, pricing strategies, and market trends to develop competitive sales strategies.
    • Stay updated on global market developments, trade regulations, and changes in export laws.

    Order Management & Logistics:

    • Coordinate the order process from initial inquiry to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate shipments.
    • Work closely with the logistics team to arrange transportation, manage customs clearance, and ensure smooth delivery to international clients.
    • Maintain detailed records of orders, sales activities, and customer communications in the CRM system.

    Customer Support & Relationship Management:

    • Provide technical support and advice to customers regarding electrical products and their applications.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Follow up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction and foster long-term relationships.

    Reporting & Documentation:

    • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for management review.
    • Ensure all export documentation is completed accurately, including customs paperwork, commercial invoices, and shipping documents.

    Compliance & Regulations:

    • Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, export laws, and product standards.
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of export documentation, tariffs, and regulations in key markets.

    Requirements
    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • At least 3-5 years of experience in sales or export sales, preferably in the electrical or industrial sector.
    • Experience with international markets and export regulations.

    Skills:

    • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
    • Knowledge of electrical products, applications, and industry standards.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

    Key Accounts Associate Longmeadow (Longmeadow)

    Description

    • ACDC Dynamics a leading manufacturer, importer and distributor of quality products in the electrical, electronics, pumps, and tools industry is looking for an experienced and Dynamic Key Account Associate. The Key Account Associate is assigned a set group of customers.
    • Where the individual is tasked to maintain and develop a business orientated relationship. By taking ownership of the accounts, improving ACDC Dynamics interest in the allocated customer base and facilitating the sales process between ACDC Dynamics and the customer. Through the interactions with the clientele achieve agreed upon targets and implement ACDC Dynamics business initiatives.

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

    • Getting the “sale” using various customer sales methods. Forecasting sales, developing “out of the box” sales strategies/models and evaluating their effectiveness. Evaluating customers skills, needs and building productive long- lasting relationships.
    • Maintain accurate and complete customer account information.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Understanding of the marketplace relative to product offering and client base demographics
    • Searching for and capitalizing on new product opportunities positioning and branding for the respective product range in client stores
    • Together with respective Brand or Category managers, developing product launch programs as well as formulation of customer days or product awareness campaigns within the client portfolio
    • Liaising with Senior Management and ensuring that sales targets are met
    • Analysing current marketplace and ensuring feedback is given regarding important market and competitive information
    • Training clients on products as and when required
    • Executing sales strategies
    • Generating new leads and developing existing customers
    • Responding to customer enquiries
    • Achieving high sales targets and goals
    • Building new business relationships using existing industry contacts
    • When required, giving sales presentations to various levels of audiences
    • Managing employer’s expectations, client relationships and providing these with excellent service and support
    • Providing feedback regarding suggestions for improvement and market research
    • Ability to deal with and respond to high volumes of emails
    • As and when required, liaising with any business partner regarding exhibitions/ customers’ day etc of any type with reference to ACDC Dynamics and attends these events and or arranging these events
    • Quotation formulation and follow up of these
    • Attending Sales Meetings and providing the necessary information/ statistics etc
    • Planning as well as submission of weekly calls and reporting on weekly activities
    • Customer account maintenance
    • Attending of ad hoc training sessions
    • Saturday work will be required as per published roster
    • Find and capitalise on new product opportunities and possible turnkey projects by positioning the brand of ACDC in these customers.
    • Managing employer’s expectations, client relationships with exceptional customer service and support.
    • Compile accurate and precise calendar entries with a briefing on what transpired during sales calls

    Requirements

    • Experience and or knowledge in an Electrical manufacturing/sales environment
    • An Electrical or similar technical qualification will be advantageous.
    • 3 to 5 years in related sales role
    • Technical product knowledge of our products will be preferable
    • Proven marketing and sales competencies and ability to analyse market and set new strategy
    • Ability to establish new markets/ establish new business relationships and train clients on products

    KPI’s

    • Meet monthly targets set by company
    • Update CTC reports weekly
    • Call on assigned customers base with 8 constructive calls daily
    • Product introduction to client two samples per week. Samples needs to be cycled weekly
    • Housekeeping of customers account inclusive of ACDC Branding
    • Rotate entire customer base within a four-week cycle
