Purpose of Position:

• To provide technical support, perform routine and stat analyses of samples within the Clinical Pathology laboratory environment.

Requirements:

• Certificate: Medical Technician, HPCSA Registration in Relevant Register and Practice Field, Registered Facilitator

Required Experience:

• Experiential training in a training laboratory, Knowledge: Instrumentation and Methodologies, Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge: MS Excel, Knowledge: MS Word, Knowledge: Quality Control, Knowledge: relevant pathology test procedures, Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath., Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory., Process routine bench work in laboratory in order to ensure efficient processing of specimens., Provide technical support within laboratory in order to ensure the efficient flow of specimens and timeous resulting of specimen.

• To collect and deliver reports; specimens and parcels sufficiently and timeously to and from the wards, hospitals, Dr’ rooms, factories and relevant clients by means of a vehicle.

Requirements:

• Grade 10, Valid South African Driver licence (Code B), Valid South African Drivers Licence (Code A)

Required Experience:

• Driving Experience, Knowledge: Basic Vehicle Maintenance, Knowledge: National Traffic Rules and Regulations

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect and deliver reports, specimens and parcels in order to ensure that clients and labs received them timeously, Maintain good client relations in order to promote the image of Ampath at all times, Maintain safekeeping and maintenance of company vehicles and relevant equipment in order to remain contactable and deliver excellent service
