    Operator GR4 : Lowbed

    Qualifying Criteria :

    • Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
    • Basic Level: MQA Competency B Certificate; Relevant Qualifications, courses, and licenses
    • 1-3 years’ experience in a mining environment is essential and required
    • Trackless Mining experience is essential and required
    • Must have Dover Test Results A or B, or will be submitted for Dover Testing
    • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
    • Applicant must possess good verbal communication skills
    • South African Citizenship
    • Clear Criminal Record

     Responsibilities :

    •  Work a cycle or rotation of shifts
    • Responsible for operating the Lowbed
    • Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
    • Be observant / vigilant when the machine is operational and/or in motion
    • Verify level of the machine using specified levels
    • help with transportation of vent and water pipes, including pumps and other heavy materials
    • Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to Supervisor and Control Room
    • Always take instructions from the Supervisor responsible for the area / work place
    • Manage and maintain in area of responsibility in accordance with mine standards, procedures and practices

    Winding Engine Driver - Brakpan

    Job specification

    • Grade 11 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
    • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
    • Completed recognised Winding Engine Driver certificate as issued by the DMRE.
    • At least 5 years’ experience as a qualified Koepe Winding Engine Driver on AC andDC machines or Banksman / Onsetter within the mining environment with incline shaft experience
    • Must have operated a Winder in the past 2 years.
    • Good motor skills (hand, eye, and foot coordination)
    • South African Citizenship

     Responsibilities

    •  Adhere to safe work procedures.

    Operator GR3 Bomag

    Qualifying Criteria:

    • Grade 11 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
    • Code 08 / 10 driver’s license.
    • MQA Competency B Certificate; Relevant qualifications, courses and licenses.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a trackless mining environment.
    • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages.
    • Must be a legal South African citizen.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work a cycle or a rotation of shifts
    • Good operating skills and at least 1-3 years’ experience within a trackless mining environment
    • Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily checklist
    • Safely and efficiently operate Bomag rollers and compactors to compact various materials such as soil, gravel, and asphalt.
    • Prepare surfaces by compacting soil and materials to ensure they meet the required density and specifications.
    • Assist with and monitor preventative and breakdown maintenance during shift (fill up fuel, oil, lubrication, etc.)
    • Assist with services
    • Ensure that the machine is in good operating order and report any faults and inconsistencies to the supervisor (s) and control room

    Rigger Ropesman - Springs

     Job specification

    •  Grade 11 or equivalent NQF4 qualifications
    • N2 Trade Theory
    • Recognized Rigger/Ropesman trade certificate.
    • Minimum 5 years’ underground Rigger / Ropesman experience with proven shaft slinging, rope capping, and splicing proficiency.
    • Demonstrate integrity and above-average interpersonal skills and abilities.
    • South African Driver’s license (Code 08-10) essential
    • South African Citizenship.

     Responsibilities

    •  Ensure the health and safety of self and team members by applying relevant standards and procedures.

    Social and Labour Plan Officer

    Job specification

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Post-matric qualification or equivalent (preferably in Humanities, social sciences, and/or Business Sciences)
    • Demonstrable Project Management and implementation skills and knowledge
    • Proficient in English and any other of the 11 official languages
    • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in the development space, including local economic development, resource mobilization, government and non-government stakeholder relations, entrepreneurship, management, and research.

    Assistant Rigging

     Qualifying Criteria :

    • Grade 11 or equivalent qualification
    • 2-3 years’ experience in Engineering in a mining or industrialized environment is essential and required
    • Knowledge of mobile crane hand signalling
    • Good knowledge of all rigging / lifting equipment
    • Good knowledge of SWL tags and name plates
    • Ability to work flexible hours and perform standby duties including Sundays and Public Holidays
    • Ability to perform physical activities (equipment and material loading and offloading unassisted, bend, climb etc.)

    • Provide efficient support within Engineering rigging Section

    • Assist in ensuring that all lifting tackle is up to standard by visually inspecting chain links, slings and safety catches

    • Ensure that all mechanical lifting equipment such as chain blocks and coffin hoists are lubricated and ready for usage

    • Mine Overseer with a minimum of 5 years active production experience in all relevant mining underground activities
    • At least 2 years’ experience as a conventional mine overseer
    • Valid Blasting Certificate for Metalliferous Mines
