    SDC Dutch GAAP Disclosure Checklist Specialist - Bloemfontein

    Qualifications / Certifications required:

    • Chartered Accountant (SA) (preferred)
    • Passed ITC and completed SAICA traineeship (minimum requirement)

    Experience required:

    • Fluent in Dutch and / or Afrikaans
    • Experience on large listed companies will be advantageous.
    • Post article working experience will be advantageous.

    Responsibilities of role:

    • Performing financial statement disclosure checklists.This includes financial statements prepared using Dutch Accounting principles (Dutch GAAP) and other relevant reporting frameworks used in the Netherlands.
    • Reviewing financial statement disclosure checklists performed by less experienced team members within the team as well as providing coaching to these team members as you progress in the role.

    • You will have previous Project Management or Assistant Project Management experience covering the entire Project Lifecycle with direct experience.
    • Ability to apply a logical, solution based and analytical approach to work.
    • You will have a track record of engaging with stakeholders and developing those relationships.
    • You will have the ability to engage not just on the how, but also on the why with the courage to challenge.
    • Excellent project planning skills and experience of using project management and planning tools such as MS-Project.

    Key Responsibilities

    Assurance Methodology and Transformation Manager

    Primary responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to, the following:

    • Engagement and team support in decision making to help build the auditor of the future;
    • Use knowledge and experience to conduct real time assurance reviews in the capacity of a primary reviewer and as supervisory reviewer to junior members on our team;
    • Using the knowledge and experience gained as an assurance Manager, to assist engagement teams with Methodology queries through the MRAT Helpdesk;
    • Using the knowledge and experience gained as an assurance manager to assist engagement teams with ad-hoc consultations submitted through the Consult database;
    • Promote behavioural change amongst assurance Partners and their engagement teams through face to face interaction and challenging of audit approaches;
    • Be at the forefront of development of tools and templates to drive quality;
    • Develop and present training;
    • Conduct exploratory discussions with Partners to understand the needs of the business to drive projects and outcomes to improve engagement quality; and
    • Analyse and monitor audit quality throughout the practice and report findings and status to Assurance Leadership.

    Secondary / Ad hoc responsibilities may include, but may not be limited to, the following:

    • Reviewing the methodology compliance of any proposed new assurance software tool in the SMA;
    • The establishment and facilitation of building working relationships within the African network;
    • Liaise with key contacts with the East and West market areas;
    • Travelling to various South Market Area regions and
    • Support the core global team and represent our market area in global forums.

    Requirements:

    • Qualification Level: Chartered Accountant (South Africa)
    • Experience Required: minimum of 3.5 years post-articles experience as an audit engagement manager.

    Guidewire Business Analyst

    What will you do?

    • Develop Test plans, approach and scoping.
    • Establish and implement an approach for managing test data.
    • Analyse requirements to ensure completeness of test cases.
    • Develop test scenarios that reflect the capabilities being established in projects.
    • Work with the Business Analyst to establish proper test coverage and traceability to requirements.
    • Develop test cases with a view to ensure end-to-end functional coverage, as well as potential impact areas for regression.
    • Execute testing, including test preparation and execution, test data creation, and analysis of test results.
    • Provide test coverage and clearance feedback.
    • Analyse test failures and work with the development team to address defects.
    • Develop automation test scripts that are to the high performing technical standards and created using Guidewire best practices.
    • Work with Business Analyst to assist and monitor User Acceptance Testing.
    • Participate in daily standup meetings, sprint planning and retrospective.
    • Participate in POC to support new opportunities.
    • Guide and mentor junior testers.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement of requirements and software quality  processes.

    What are we looking for?

    • 2 plus years Testing in Automation testing skills / Selenium / Katalon / GT-UI & GT-API.
    • Web services testing / API testing skills is a plus
    • Database testing knowledge is a plus
    • DataHub and InfoCenter knowledge is a plus
    • Experience in functional and non-functional (performance, security, regulatory and compliance) testing.
    • Knowledge of Software Quality Assurance across the SDLC.
    • Understanding of the use of Test Metrics to support risk assessment and decision making.
    • Experience in Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management tools, like Jira and Xray.
    • Knowledge of the AGILE methodology/Scaled Agile Framework, SDLC processes will be an added advantage.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

    What is nice to have?

    • Testing Certification (ISTQB Certified Tester)
    • Prior client facing testing experience
    • Azure/AWS Cloud experience
    • Guidewire Testing Certification on current solutions
