    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and customer focused Code 10 Driver Salesman within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be responsible to performs tasks / activities associated with the transportation and sales of bread and confectionary. Calling on customers (traders and retail chain stores), taking orders and delivering mainly from vehicle -frequently for cash and new customer acquisition.
    • This role will be based in Kokstad and reporting to the Distribution Manager.

    Dress and Vehicle Duties

    Stock and Loading

    • Check that actual stock loaded matches the orders placed.
    • Discrepancies are noted and brought to the immediate attention of the Route Controller
    • Once satisfied that the load is accurate, the driver to sign acceptance of the stock i.e., Loading Sheet
    • Check number of crates on load and sign acknowledgement of amount that must be returned
    • Check that vehicle has been safely loaded to ensure road safety is not compromised
    • Inspect quality of stock being loaded and report any problems immediately to the relevant authority
    • If no choice but to proceed with delivery of substandard stock, customer to be made aware of this fact and not force customer to purchase the goods.

    Van Assistants

    • Driver to take responsibility for and supervise van assistant
    • Ensure van assistant is present at work and if not, arrange a replacement through the correct procedure
    • Ensure van assistant is presentable and deals with customers appropriately
    • Train and coach van assistant to ensure he is meeting company standards
    • Report performance problems with van assistant to the Route Controller/Supervisor
    • Create a harmonious working relationship with the van assistant

    Sales and Customers

    • Always be friendly, helpful and respectful towards customers
    • Look for opportunities to increase daily sales by increasing sales to current customers and by gaining more customers
    • If potential new sales area, driver to report to supervisor and sales manager to investigate further
    • Any potential or actual customer losses to be reported to supervisor. Every attempt to be made to win back the customer and to supply market info. Be proactive on the route
    • Report any issues that may affect company service levels such as serious delays, difficult unloading conditions or other such problems
    • Driver liaises with customers weekly to ensure that customer service levels are maintained and that customers are retained on their routes.
    • Driver to implement promotions with customers as and when required.

    Deliveries

    • Driver to ensure that the stock delivered to customer is according to the customer’s order
    • Where sales are being exceeded against orders, the driver to be aware of stock levels at all times to ensure all customers on the route are supplied with their order

    Key Responsibilities

    • If sales exceed actual amounts on truck, arrangements to be made via cell phone for replenishment of stock, either by means of an alternative vehicle or by returning to the bakery

    Job Description

    • RCL Foods is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner. The role will be based in Pretoria West. 

    Purpose of the Role:

    • To assist the clients (production and engineering) to continuously improve their overall equipment effectiveness, by implementing and administering effective asset management systems and procedures, particularly in the areas of information management, work planning & control, performance measurement, maintenance tactics and spares & materials through the effective delegation and management of available resources (employees/equipment).

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A recognised trade test (Fitting and Turner or Electrician- Preference will be given to Millwrights and Dual Trade- Electrician and Fitter and  Turner).
    • N4 technical qualification (minumum).
    • 2 to 3 Years’ experience in asset and asset care management Auditing experience
    • 5  years supervision experience is required.
    • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Office- Namely MS Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint and Word
    • A working knowledge Computerised Maintenance Management Systems(CMMS). 
    • Essential - 5 years experience on Pragma Onkey 5 (Onkey 5 Plus)
    • Knowledge of Store Inventory Management Systems and techniques. 

    Duties & Responsibilities    
    Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities.

    • As a planner will be required to accomplishes this task by studying and managing work requests; analyzing job requirements; and determining materials, equipment, and labour needs (such as blueprints, tools, parts, and ‘Artisans’ skill requirements) to complete maintenance economically and efficiently. The maintenance planner is the logistics person. He or she has the responsibility for removing non-productive time from the maintenance work force. His or her basic responsibility is to ensure that when the maintenance work is ready to be performed, there will be no delays during the execution of the work.

    Develops a weekly schedule and assists the maintenance Engineering Manager in determining job priorities.

    • The planner will make changes and adjustments to the schedule and work package after reviewing them with the Engineering Manager. The planner maintains a complete and current backlog of work orders. As work is requested, the request is given to the planner. The planner examines the request, plans the job, and reviews the job with the Engineering Manager or craft workers. Once the job is planned and approved, it is placed on the schedule. The planner reviews the weekly schedule with the Engineering Manager before the start of the work week. The Engineering Manager recommendations that require changes are incorporated into the schedule, and the schedule is then published by the planner.

    Ensures that the CMMS software data files are complete and current.

    • The planner does this task by gathering equipment and associated stores information for the entire plant or facility. The planner develops standardized codes for the equipment, stores, and task craft assignments for all maintenance activities. In short, the planner is the keeper of the CMMS software data files. The planner constantly reviews information being input into the CMMS for accuracy and completeness.

    Breakdown and Lost Opportunity Analytics

    • Analysis/ Interpretation of maintenance history and feedback report preparation (should include an analysis of all AMiP KPI’s and suggested actions).
    • Identifies, analyzes, and reviews equipment maintenance problems with maintenance engineering.
    • The planner revises the maintenance management program as necessary to improve and enhance plant and facilities operations. Since the planner maintains the work order system, any repetitive problems should be apparent to the planner. He or she then reviews repetitive problems with maintenance engineering team to find a resolution. At this level, the resolution typically will be adjustments in the preventive or predictive maintenance program. By adjusting these programs, the planner provides a solution to the problem. If the problem is not related to the preventive or predictive maintenance program, then the planner refers it to the Engineering Manager for resolution.

    Ensuring continuous asset management improvement through organizing of training for engineering personnel

    • Drawing, documentation and modification control.
    • Ensure that the team is adequately staffed based on careful consideration of utilization and work backlog information.
    • Assisting in the continuous improvement, optimization (schedules reviews) and implementation of preventive maintenance tactics (usage-based, time-based, etc) via processes including OMM and root cause failure analysis.
    • Management of the engineering planning office and the equipment, documents and tools within it.
    • Meetings (daily & monthly) with the plant’s key personnel (engineering & production) to plan work, transfer information, make decisions and agree on action plans.
    • Assisting the further implementation, optimization and management of the Asset Management Improvement Program (AMIP).

    • RCL FOODS is seeking X2 Fitter & Turner Aprrentices  to join our Baking Division. The role will be based in Krugersdorp and reports to the Maintenance Foreman. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for ensuring that Plant Maintenance is done effectively and accurately in such a way to ensure the minimum downtime.
    • Institutionalized training at the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) (approximately 20 weeks).
    • Employment/exposure/training in different sections of the factory during operations and off- crop   (approximately 29 weeks).
    • The completion of each year’s training will be rounded off by a Mini Trade Test (phase test) which will determine the continued participation in the training program. A final Trade Test will lead to a National recognized qualification.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • N3 as a minimum. N4 to N6 would be preferred.

    Required N3 subjects:

    • Mathematics
    • Engineering Science
    • Industrial electronics
    • Electrical trade theory/ Electrical technology / Electrotechnology

    Job Description    

    • RCL Foods is recruiting for a driven, highly energized and customer focused Code 10 Driver Salesman within the baking business unit.
    • The suitable candidate will be responsible to performs tasks / activities associated with the transportation and sales of bread and confectionary. Calling on customers (traders and retail chain stores), taking orders and delivering mainly from vehicle -frequently for cash and new customer acquisition.
    • This role will be based in Kokstad and reporting to the Distribution Manager.
    • This role is a Permanent role.

    Minimum Requirements    

    Education

    • Grade 12, valid Driver’s License and v a l i d PDP.

    Skills

    • Ability to read, write, understand and communicate in English.
    • Good numeracy

    Experience

    • Min 2 years driving experience working in FMCG. Experience in delivering and selling FMCG product for cash to existing and new customers.

    General

    • To maintain a valid Driver’s Licence and v a l i d PDP
    • Expected to work over weekends and public holidays

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Dress and Vehicle Duties

    • Maintain a clean vehicle to ensure high levels of hygiene standards at all times.
    • Wear and make use of the prescribed PPE clothing and equipment.
    • Ensure driving compartment is clean and safe according to requirements for a work station in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
    • Checks his vehicle according to the checklist specified by the company
    • Enter any faults onto the checklist.
    • Sign the checklist as acknowledgement of the vehicle condition
    • Faults of a serious nature to be reported to the supervisor and the vehicle to be sent immediately to the workshop
    •  Arrange a replacement vehicle if the repair will take a longer time to repair
    • Adherence to the statutory rules of the road, thereby ensuring the safety of himself, his passengers and other road user vehicles.
    • Immediately report any theft of vehicle, fuel or equipment or damage to vehicle to Logistics Manager
    • Immediately report damage to third party vehicles or property to Logistics Manager
    • Accidents must be handled in terms of the company laid-down procedures for damage, injuries and death

    Stock and Loading

    • Check that actual stock loaded matches the orders placed.
    • Discrepancies are noted and brought to the immediate attention of the Route Controller
    • Once satisfied that the load is accurate, the driver to sign acceptance of the stock i.e., Loading Sheet
    • Check number of crates on load and sign acknowledgement of amount that must be returned
    • Check that vehicle has been safely loaded to ensure road safety is not compromised
    • Inspect quality of stock being loaded and report any problems immediately to the relevant authority
    • If no choice but to proceed with delivery of substandard stock, customer to be made aware of this fact and not force customer to purchase the goods.
    • Driver to assist with loading as and when required

    Van Assistants

    • Driver to take responsibility for and supervise van assistant
    • Ensure van assistant is present at work and if not, arrange a replacement through the correct procedure
    • Ensure van assistant is presentable and deals with customers appropriately
    • Train and coach van assistant to ensure he is meeting company standards
    • Report performance problems with van assistant to the Route Controller/Supervisor
    • Create a harmonious working relationship with the van assistant

    Sales and Customers

    • Always be friendly, helpful and respectful towards customers
    • Look for opportunities to increase daily sales by increasing sales to current customers and by gaining more customers
    • If potential new sales area, driver to report to supervisor and sales manager to investigate further
    • Any potential or actual customer losses to be reported to supervisor. Every attempt to be made to win back the customer and to supply market info. Be proactive on the route
    • Report any issues that may affect company service levels such as serious delays, difficult unloading conditions or other such problems
    • Driver liaises with customers weekly to ensure that customer service levels are maintained and that customers are retained on their routes.
    • Driver to implement promotions with customers as and when required.

    Deliveries

    • Driver to ensure that the stock delivered to customer is according to the customer’s order
    • Where sales are being exceeded against orders, the driver to be aware of stock levels at all times to ensure all customers on the route are supplied with their order

    Key Responsibilities

    • If sales exceed actual amounts on truck, arrangements to be made via cell phone for replenishment of stock, either by means of an alternative vehicle or by returning to the bakery
    • Should further stock not be available, apologize to customers that are short-delivered
    • All customers to receive their order but where this is not possible, at least some of their order
    • Secure orders for the following day’s delivery and give the orders timeously to the sales department
    • Ensure all crates delivered, are recovered and returned to Sunshine Bakery premises on the same day

    Minimum Requirements    

    Education / Qualifications:

    Experience:

    • 3+ years manufacturing supervisory experience.
    • 2+ years perishable food manufacture and FMCG.

    Skills/Knowledge

    • Practical knowledge of ERP system
    • Full understanding of FSMS and OHS systems

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    Shift start up

    • Check that work orders are created based on production plan with production admin
    • Check all machinery for cleanliness and ensure in good working order
    • Validate that a pre-run on critical points were done with maintenance staff
    • Validate right number of staff at the right time for the shift according to base staffing
    • Create and communicate production plan with the production team leaders and production admin
    • Conduct regular staff meetings and complete meeting registers
    • Conduct daily meeting with Maintenance Supervisor

    During shift

    • Verify stock that is issued from stores.
    • Sample finished product to check for quality, consistency, weight, volume and defects and take corrective action
    • Ensure temperature checks conducted every 60 minutes throughout the baking process
    • Validate all departments are following their related processes and if not, take corrective action
    • Quality check in each department in accordance with Total Quality Management system
    • Validate hourly targets are adhered to.
    • Validate all documentation related to production is completed in full and compile and submit reports
    • Ensure shift performance is reported on hourly (Mixing and slicing)
    • Validate that yield standards are met hourly and any discrepancies can be quantified and justified.
    • Ensure damage bread recording is accurate and reasons for damages given and ensure transferred to dispatch.
    • Corrective actions for damages/yields/conversions to be documented and actioned
    • Provide detailed handover report to next shift supervisor and maintenance and sign off
    • Ensure a detailed breakdown report of the shift is recorded by Maintenance and Production Admin
    • Ensure production team leader reports and checks are accurate and complete and take corrective action when necessary

    Food Safety and Quality

    • Adhere to food safety guidelines as per company policies and procedures.
    • Abide by all Good Manufacturing Practices requirements as set out by the employer.
    • Ensure all work areas are cleaned and free from contaminants
    • Ensure the product produced is free from all contaminants by ensuring staff adhere to all GMP and food safety requirements

    • Review of previous Ds and Ns production run with Production Co-ordinator
    • Timeously report any maintenance related issues which will affect the operation in the bakery
    • Complete job cards for all maintenance work related to faulty equipment and machinery

    People Management

    • Be aware of staffing requirement per shift and per team. Conduct daily headcount

    • Arrange for replacement staff through the labour broker when short of staff
    • Control of tea and lunch breaks to ensure shift is fully covered
