    SHE Ventilation Recorder

    Purpose of Job

    • To enable, support, and facilitate safe and responsible operations to achieve zero harm and sustainability targets.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Delivery targets (e.g. tons, products, service Monitor and respond proactively to hazards in the workplace).
    • Conduct hazard identification in the workplace.

    SHE Occ Safety Officer

    Purpose of Job

    • To coordinate health and safety activities to facilitate inspections, data gathering, and data maintenance and integrate health and safety initiatives into SASOL operations to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

    Key Accountabilities

    Snr Specialist Communication

    Purpose of Job

    • Provide end‑to‑end strategic communication support to Sasol’s Business Building, Strategy and Technology (BBST) portfolio, ensuring consistent, high‑quality, and insight‑driven communication across internal and external channels. Act as the primary communication interface between BBST and Group Communication & Brand Management, translating business priorities into compelling narratives that support the objectives of each vertical within the BBST portfolio.
    • This includes supporting business goals of market development, stakeholder engagement, and reputation building. Lead and coordinate integrated communication initiatives, drawing on functional expertise across the Group Communication and Brand Management team, including Digital Communications, Media Relations, Corporate Communication (internal), Brand and Events.     • Develop and implement a comprehensive, integrated communication strategy for the BBST portfolio aligned with Sasol’s corporate strategy, sustainability and energy transition positioning, and emerging business priorities.

    • Translate complex technical and commercial activities into clear, accessible, high‑impact communication outputs for internal and external audiences.
    • Serve as the primary communication partner to BBST executives and project teams, ensuring strategic alignment, message discipline and communication readiness.
    • Collaborate closely with functional specialists across Group Communication & Brand Management (Media, Digital, Internal Communication, Brand, Events, Sponsorships) to deliver integrated campaigns (communications, events, conferences, etc) aligned content and consistent visual identity.

    • Develop, write and edit high‑quality multi-channel content including key messages, content speeches, executive talking points, business updates and stakeholder communication as necessary.

    Logistics Expeditor

    Purpose of Job

    • The Expeditor ensures seamless execution of the transport schedule by tracking and tracing delivery vehicles, engaging with Planners, third-party transporters, Sasol Distribution Controllers, the Contact Centre, and Commercial & Mobility Account Managers etc. The role is responsible for coordinating daily operations, resolving deviations, and ensuring that customer orders are delivered on time, in full, and safely.
    • The Expeditor also proactively addresses operational challenges, provides continuous updates to stakeholders, and contributes to process improvement through data analysis and effective root cause investigations. 

    Key Accountabilities
    Transport Execution & Stakeholder Engagement 

    • Track and trace deliveries; re-planning, engage with 3rd party transporters, Sasol Distribution Controllers, Customers and the Contact Centre on deviations, incidents, or schedule changes.
    • Check customer Automatic Tank Gaude (ATG)/ Dip levels against scheduled orders to prevent Left on Boards (LOBs).
    • Proactively manage 2-hourly updates from transporters, escalate delays, and arrange alternatives (replacement trucks, re-routes, gantry breakdowns, etc.) and keep customers updated.
    • Ensure continuous safety and operational decision-making during protests, incidents, or breakdowns to protect drivers, equipment, and product integrity.
    • Create and manage drains when LOBs are redirected.
    • Amend shipments or trips for order cancellations, emergency requests etc.
    • Escalate customer site delays by involving relevant Key Account Managers.
    • Manage updates and report via Schedule Management Tool (SMT).
    • Month end delivery reconciliations

    Queries & Issue Resolution 

    • Handle non-delivery, late delivery, cancellation, emergency order, and volume query escalations.
    • Investigate and resolve customer complaints and provide prompt feedback.
    • Participate in root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.

    Administration & Reporting 

    • Resolve/ manage error logs, open orders, drain orders, and update delivery volumes.
    • Complete all SAP/ Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS)  updates (vehicle changes, drains, re-plans, reroutes etc) before end of shift.
    • Ensure accurate and thorough shift handover, including safety issues, incidents, and operational challenges and critical information.
    • Contribute to performance reporting and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) monitoring.

    Fleet & Resource Adjustments 

    • Manage truck changes due to breakdowns, driver availability, or delays.
    • Ensure smooth replacement planning to minimize delivery impact.

    Continuous Improvement & Compliance

    • Participate in operational meetings and contribute to updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) /work instructions (WI).
    • Review performance data and drive improvement.
    • Support training and change management processes for expediting operations.

    Formal Education and Working Experience

    • Minimum: Grade 12 with 3–5 years’ experience in Expediting or Customer Demand Fulfilment or Logistics.
    • Preferred: Diploma in Logistics or equivalent.

    Snr/Specialist Artisan Electrician x2

    Purpose of Job

    • To perform electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks on plant equipment and systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation in compliance with plant standards and statutory requirements. The role supports production through effective maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset reliability.

    Key Accountabilities

    • Execute planned and unplanned electrical maintenance on motors, MCCs, VSDs, UPSs, BTUs, transformers, heaters, and control systems.
    • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production equipment to minimize downtime.
    • Install, connect, maintain, and commission electrical equipment, including hazardous area (Ex-rated) equipment.
    • Perform LV and MV switching and isolation (up to 11kV) in accordance with plant safety procedures.
    • Conduct inspections and compliance testing on electrical installations and classified equipment.
    • Assist in commissioning and testing of electrical installations and equipment.
    • Utilize SAP for maintenance planning and record-keeping.
    • Participate in risk assessments (HIRA) and HAZOPS.
    • Maintain personal and team safety, adhering to lock-out/tag-out and hazardous area regulations.
    • Mentor junior artisans and apprentices, promoting skills development and best practices.
    • Participate in first line electrical maintenance standby, as per departmental scheduling, to ensure continuous electrical support outside of normal working hours. Employee must comply with Sasol standby policy.
    • Expecting to act on behalf of the Electrical Foreman, when required

    Formal Education

    • Grade 12/N3 Electrical with English, Maths & Science as subjects
    • Electrical Trade Certificate (Red Seal).
    • Code 08 driver’s license.

    Work Experience

    • Minimum 6 years in petrochemical or chemical plant environment (including learnership).
    • Proven experience in hazardous area equipment maintenance (Ex d, Ex e, Ex i) and compliance with SANS standards.

    Snr Specialist Group Media Relations

    Purpose of Job

    • Protect, enhance and grow Sasol’s reputation by leading external media relations across South Africa and key international markets. Operate the central media office: plan the proactive news agenda, develop and place stories, manage responses to media enquiries, and provide clear, timely guidance to executives and subject matter experts.
    • Align all media activity with Corporate Branding and Communication, ensuring consistent messaging that reflects Sasol’s strategy and priorities. Lead issues and crisis communication protocols, including holding statements, rapid response, and media training support for leaders

    • Proactive media relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key journalists and outlets locally and internationally (with regional and agency support). Draft and place media content; coordinate interviews and briefings.
    • Messaging and content: Develop, maintain and update key messaging, holding statements and FAQs for priority issues and strategic focus areas; ensure accessibility to business, subject matter experts and issue-owner teams.
    • Issues and crisis management: Lead media response in crises and sensitive issues; implement protocols, escalation paths and approval processes; execute mitigation and response plans; prepare leaders for media engagements.
    • Cross-functional liaison: Interface with Investor Relations, Finance, Group Strategy, HR/Employee Relations, Government, Stakeholder Relations & Policy Advocacy, business unit and project teams to ensure factual accuracy, alignment and readiness.

    Purpose of Job

    • Specialist leverages mining business process knowledge to report, analyse and interpret data. This position plays an integral role in ensuring data integrity and visibility. The focus stretches across all collieries and various business drivers.
